Summary: Mouse bug in Project IGI
Product: WineHQ Apps Database
Version: unspecified
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: website-bugs
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: happysmileman(a)gmail.com
When playing the game "Project IGI" the mouse will only rotate for a while (180
degrees I think) before stopping, then you have to rotate back the other
direction to workaround this.
This makes the game unplayable in my opinion, since it's pointless to try and
workaround this while being shot at.
There doesn't appear to be anything relevant to this in the console output.

Summary: Erratic mouse movement renders Aliens vs. Predator 2
unplayable
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.51.
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-directx-dinput
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: hein(a)kde.org
"Aliens vs. Predator 2" is a first person shooter developed by Monolith
Productions using the LithTech Talon game engine. While the game runs and looks
fine, erratic mouse movement renders it unplayable: When the mouse is moved at
normal speeds to change the view angle, it seems to immediately move back or
recenter itself, making it impossible to look around in a controlled fashion.
Only when the mouse is moved very, very slowly it is possible to turn around
without that "back-snapping" effect. As soon as the speed surpasses a certain
(low) threshold, mouse movement stops being usable.
The tested version of the game is the latest patch level, v1.0.9.6.
The version of Wine tested is v0.9.50. The Wine configuration is fairly
untouched. The Windows version is set to Windows XP. Pixel and vertex shader
support is enabled, and the offscreen rendering mode is set to fbo. The sound
driver is ALSA. No DLL overrides were added.
Testing was undertaken using nVidia's proprietary graphics driver in version
160.04 on a GeForce 8800 GTX, with X.org v7.3 (xorg-server v1.4.0.90) and Linux
v2.6.23.10. The mouse is a Logitech MX1000 using the xf86-input-evdev driver in
version 1.1.5. The distribution is Gentoo Linux.

Console log
The 60 minute trial of Robot Arena 2: Design and Destroy has this "ActiveMark
browser" that comes up every startup after the first. It tells you how much
time you have left, offers for you to buy the full version of the game, and has
a button you can press to play the game.
The problem is that none of the buttons or hyperlinks do anything. Therefore,
you cannot start the game unless you start it when the installer asks you if
you would like to play it.

hitman codename 47 crashes at least in two cases :

2. attempting to start the actual game.
both crashes have very similar console output, so it seems to be a single
issue.

For my proffession i use often a winhelp document.
To work whith that document i often use the search function.
In my version of wine 0.9.46 (in Ubuntu 7.10) the search function does not
work.
Other users of the same version had the same problem.
Is the searchfunction going to work in the newer versions of Wine or is it not
going to be solved?
Greetings from Anko Monster
