Product: Wine
Version: 1.0.0
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: blocker
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: mad.big.dave(a)gmail.com
Created an attachment (id=15235)

the installation log
After downloading WINE from the sourceforge mirror, unpacking and running
either from a console or from KDE file manager, the installation was aborted
and the log file is attached.
Does this have to do with EeePC xandros linux? or should I try to reinstall
hands.sys?
Sincerely,

I'm trying to track down how is it that (at least as of
wine-1.1.2-151-gc2c1a55) I did not apply the 3dmark patch yet and COD4 loaded
up just fine. This is a new hardy heron install using the 177.13 drivers (for
the 260/280 but with a 8800 GTS). I had to reinstall COD4 + 1.6 as well so I
am certain that I have not applied the patch (let alone the fact that none
exists for 1.1.2). It would be interesting to know if new code was put in wine
to remedy this issue or is that some driver versions have changed perhaps for
the better.

Seems the bug is fixed now. The text does not disappear any more. (Becky 2.46,
Wine 1.1.2)

IrfanView 4.2 by default uses the skin which had to be installed and chosen
manually in earlier 4.xx versions.

Still a problem in wine-1.1.1. Is there going to be any solution?

> Is this still an issue in 1.0-rc3 or newer wine? Please test the demo if so.
>
In the demo such issue never occurs, since only the first level is made
available which gives no problems. I can confirm this still is an issue with
1.0. I'll try if it has been fixed in 1.1.2
