In Display Mode=Normal no other resolution can be chosen
I have the problem that I can only choose the maximum resolution in games on my
Dell Latitude D830 with NVIDIA NVS140M.
My OS is Ubuntu 8.04 i386.
The maximum resolution is 1280x800 but as I like to play in windowed mode I
want
to choose a resolution of 800x600.

I compiled wine-1.0-rc1 under Ubuntu 8.04. When starting any wine appliaction I
only get:
Segmentation fault
Nothing else.
I think this was not supposed to happen in rc version.

Error message from Unreal Tournament
Hello,
I use Ubuntu Hardy Heron (8.04) and get an error message when launching
Unreal Tournament. (In Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon [7.10] the game ran fine)
I use the NVIDIA beta drivers
(http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_display_ia32_173.08.html) because the
drivers from repository
do not work on my Dell Latitude D830 with NVIDIA NVS 140M.
To avoid the preload warning message I execute "sudo sysctl -w
vm.mmap_min_addr=0" as it is said here
"http://wiki.winehq.org/PreloaderPageZeroProblem".
But this does not solve the problem. The error message stays the same.

Summary: Garbled opengl graphics in emachineshop
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.60
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: opengl
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: tpikonen(a)gmail.com
Emachineshop uses pure opengl to draw 2D and 3D graphics (loaddll trace shows
opengl32.dll, but not d3d* or ddraw*), but all the graphics is garbled. The
graphics areas in the application seem to show display memory contents from a
random address.
No error messages or crashes are triggered and the application works otherwise
perfectly, as far as one can tell. This seems to be a bug in an existing
implementation and not a lack of implementation.
I tested in Ubuntu Hardy with Intel 855GM graphics chip. Linux Opengl
applications work fine.

Summary: 0.9.60 package for Ubuntu 8.04? Website says yes,
package server says no.
Product: WineHQ.org
Version: unspecified
Platform: PC
URL: http://www.winehq.org/site/download-deb
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P2
Component: www-unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: megazzt(a)gmail.com
I have been asked to upgrade to 0.9.60 for testing bugs I reported in 0.9.59.
The Wine website states the packages have been released for Ubuntu 8.04 and
provides instructions on downloading them. However this package does not
appear to exist yet! I would attribute this to the fact that 8.04 was only
released yesterday and so building the package started later than usual for a
wine release, but the website seems to indicate it should be out already!
http://www.winehq.org/site/download-deb has the user execute the command under
Ubuntu 8.04:
sudo wget http://wine.budgetdedicated.com/apt/sources.list.d/hardy.list -O
/etc/apt/sources.list.d/winehq.list
However http://wine.budgetdedicated.com/apt/sources.list.d/hardy.list does not
exist on the server.
After looking at other files in the directory and obtaining the package servers
for previous Ubuntus, one could guess the sources.list entries to be:
deb http://wine.budgetdedicated.com/apt hardy main
deb-src http://wine.budgetdedicated.com/apt hardy main
However again we get missing file errors if we attempt to apt-get update since
there is no /debs/hardy on the server.
I can understand if the package is not available yet but the website would seem
to state that it is! IMO the instructions should not be updated for a new
distro versuib until a wine package is available for it.

This is working in Wine 0.9.48.
Installator of IE6 says just after start, that newer version of IE is
installed, and doesen't allow to follow installation.
This is caused by too hi version of IE in registry
(Software\\Microsoft\\Internet Explorer\\Version) - the version in Wine is
6.0.2900.2180 while the version of IE6SP2 is 6.0.2800.1106 (see
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_explorer_6#Extended for information about
versions). If the version is set lower, than 6.0.2800.1106, the installator
starts normally.
(I hope, that no regression testing is needed as the cause is clear)
