The patch described here :
http://www.winehq.org/pipermail/wine-patches/2006-March/025018.html
has been forgotten ?
Flash CS3 has an unhandled page fault on startup, that is fixed by this patch.
Unfortunately there's another page fault later on startup, but in adobeowl...
that's another story.

Summary: Autodesk Inventor 7.0 installer does not add directories
to Wine system path

OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-msi
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: kb9vqf(a)pearsoncomputing.net
The Autodesk Inventor 7.0 installer does not add directories to the Wine system
path, leading to missing DLL errors when attempting to use the installed
application.
Setting the Wine system path registry key manually to the following string
fixes the installed application:
c:\\windows;c:\\windows\\system;c:\\Program Files\\Autodesk\\Inventor
7\\Compatibility\\Bin;c:\\Program Files\\Autodesk\\Inventor
7\\Compatibility\\Bin\\Mechanical;c:\\Program Files\\Autodesk\\Inventor
7\\Compatibility\\MDT7
No errors are thrown on the console related to this problem during
installation.

I know this would seem a bit controversal , but i was thinking that since we
have hit version 1.0 of wine it could be a very good move to clean up the appdb
results.
I was thinking that all old results ver < RC could go to archive, and we just
leave all the recent results, maybe add a trigger to db to move all the rc
results to archive on commiting a report that involves wine 1.0.
For other apps that didnt have any rc results maybe we should leave only 5 most
recent ones, or maybe just leave empty app desciptions and encourage ppl to
send new reports.
This would probably give a lot better overwiew of what works and what doesnt,
for both users and dev team (hopefully).
Also the howtos should go to archive as i found MANY of them to be outdated, a
lot of things work from scratch without any post installation tasks.
maintainers could easly move the howtos from archive if they would still be
needed.
This is just a general idea and would need to be more thought out, but in my
opinion it would be good to think about that.

Trace output from console
King's Bounty will often crash on entering combat with a stack overflow.
Turning on trace of the seh module, you can see that call_stack_handlers is
called once, then twice, then three times, then four, then five, then six until
finally it crashes with a stack overflow. The attached output is cut before
that happens (produced many 100MBs before it crashes), but you see where it's
going.

Summary: Flanker 2.0 Demo - mouse pointer does not respond to
input correctly
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.52.
Platform: PC
URL: www.3dgamers.com/dlselect/games/su27flanker20/flanker20d
emo.exe.html
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: P3
Component: wine-directx-dinput
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: remailer(a)gmail.com
When running Flanker 2.0 Demo on Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy, wine-0.9.52:
www.3dgamers.com/dlselect/games/su27flanker20/flanker20demo.exe.html
The mouse pointer does not behave normally on the menu, it appears to be
severely under responsive and if you move the mouse too fast it does not appear
to move at all.
Moving the mouse slowly will make the mouse pointer creep in slightly in the
direction you move, but only after trying (my patience ;) very hard.
Also tested with a dll override dinput.dll (Windows 2003), which makes the
pointer usable but over responsive. It does go where you ask it but you have
to fight with it to make sure it doesn't go too far.
I've attached the output from WINEDEBUG=dinput wine FlankerDemo.exe
