It was one year ago too. I don't know what version of Wine was with this bug
(maybe 0.9.52 or 1.0rc), but it was fixed with WA 3.6.29 patch.

Summary: SQLDetective: setup_exception_record stack overflow on
program start
Product: Wine
Version: unspecified
Platform: x86
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: michael.istinger(a)gmx.at
I installed SQLDetective on wine 1.1.35.
The installation finished okay, the installation process looked completely
normal to me.
When trying to start SQLDetective.exe I get a setup_exception_record stack
overflow before the main window is displayed.
I took a WINEDEBUG="+relay,+seh+tld" log and recorded the "bt all" output
after the error was displayed.
Will upload both files as attachment.
If this is an application issue, please let me know as I have access to
the application developers.
Would appreciate any information you could give me.
Hope I provided you with the right information. This is my first contact
with wine.
All the best
Michael A. Istinger

hello again
I downgraded my wine to the version where I know that voice was working.
I connected a headset to my audio card (did not use my usb dongle)
The voice activation-key now works although it's jittery sometimes, but
redefining the voice activation key solves that problem.
But with the current eve release (eve dominion 6.20.120813) eve-voice no longer
works at all.
eve-voice used to work with eve-apocrypha and wine 1.1.32
eve-voice no longer works with eve-dominion and wine 1.1.32
I'm not sure that this is caused by the same bug.

Wineserver and winemenubuilder use 50/50 % of cpu. Because of that everything
works slow or doesn't work at all (Cossacks 2, iTunes, Spotify and ofcourse all
linux applications). Somebody says that reason is cyrillic but there is no
cyrillic in spotify, for example. When application shuts down wineserver and
winemenubuilder still work. I don't know what to do, cause as you see this
problem is only wine problem.

Fullscreen 3D mode...

It is very strange, I hadn't had such a problem before... I can move my mouse
only in the 1/3 top part of the screen in games using DirectX (for example:
Nox)
When I try to move it at the bottom it just seems like the screen ends at the
center... Like instead of having 640*480 (in the menu of the game, they are
displayed correctly) there is only 640*200 available for the cursor...
Even some effects (some appearing stars when moving the cursor) don't go
beyound this invisible line...
In windowed mode (virtual desktop) all is OK
I don't know how to help so please guide me...
Wine versions: 1.1.30, 1.1.32, 1.1.33
System: Debian Squeeze amd64
Graphic card - GeForce 8600 GTS, with latest stable and/or beta drivers (tried
with both)

I've tried applying the DisplayEnum hack and I'm using fbo. I've verified game
files via Steam, and have tried running in emulated desktop and out. Attached

I was attempting to play Silver Surfer and when I went to initiate full-screen
mode in NesterJ, Ubuntu logged me out. I've also tried different games and it
did the same exact thing as well. What do I have to do to elaborate a bit more
about this problem? Thanks :)
