Summary: openal: Games that use OpenAL lose sound
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.30
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: jsims2359(a)gmail.com
Games that use OpenAL have sound problems. In certain cases, sound cannot be
initialized and the game will not start.
For Example:
Bioshock - game won't start.
Frontlines: Fuel of War - sound cuts out completely.
Unreal Tournament 3 - no sound.
Mass Effect - no sound.
Sound worked fine prior to wine-1.1.30. Bypassing openal.dll is required to
eliminate problem.

Summary: mouse doesn-t work in Modern Warfare 2
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.35
Platform: x86
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: critical
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: ajsb(a)vfemail.net
I was using Wine 1.1.34 and Modern Warfare 2 was working very well, sound,
graphics, gameplay, mouse,etc.
I then decided to upgrade my motherboard to let me OC my CPU to achieve more
frame rates when playing multiplayer and decided to reinstall everything from
fresh....
I noticed that wine was updated to 1.1.35 and installed it...
After install game, when i lunched it i noticed right away that the mouse
cursor format didn't changed like used to do with 1.1.34....and then i noticed
the mouse could work to select the game options !
I can move around the mouse cursor but when trying to click in any of the game
settings options nothing happens !!!
I can however use the keyboard to select the options....
So, i decided to start a singleplayer game....the mouse cursor doesn't hide and
i can't use the mouse to move my point of view like i sed to do in 1.1.35 !!!
Then i launched multiplayer and same things happen....

Summary: Civilization 4 hangs while loading game

This is a regression in 1.1.35; Civilization 4 starts up fine, allows you to
select what type of game, gives messages about initializing and setting up the
map, but is not able to actually enter the game--it hangs at the point it says
"finished."
A regression test identified the following:

Summary: Civilization IV Beyond the Sword crashes after the
loading splash screen.
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.34
Platform: PC-x86-64
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P3
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: f.pinamartins(a)gmail.com
Created an attachment (id=25111)
--> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=25111)
wine output after the crash ocurred.
Civilization IV Beyond the Sword crashes after the initial splash screen is
displayed.
It is a regression from 1.1.33, which was working very well.
After the splash screen disappears and the main game window is drawn (just the
borders, actually, not the content), the game crashes with the the wine crashed
application dialog:
"The program Civ4BeyondSword.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to
close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
Attached is the console output after the crash.
I am using msxml3.dll and msxml3r.dll as native (otherwise the splash screen
won't even load).

Please file a new bug. If the bug appeared because of a change in wine, please
run a regression test (http://wiki.winehq.org/RegressionTesting).
