Near the end of the installation, I got an error box saying: "Kodak EasyShare was unable to finish your task. (Error code 12x54x1x)" I'm attaching the log output (from a "script" command). In a minute, I'll come back and update this bug by adding the "EasyShareInstall.log" file as a separate attachment. My system is running Ubuntu 8.04, kernel 2.6.24-23-generic. My Wine is configured to emulate Windows XP. It says "Could not write to the Card ! Please check write protect tab." But the card is not write protect with tab. mount gives this : /dev/sdb1 on /media/CANON_DC type vfat (rw,nosuid,nodev,uhelper=hal,shortname=lower,uid=1002) and i can touch/remove files from the card ... Thank you, Guy Note: This tools is useful to prepare a SD Memory Card for "CHDK firmware" addon on CANON camera. But every time you click a command on the toolbar, it puts up a dialog complaining "Cannot obtain version information for OLE2NLS.DLL. You may need to put the file OLE2NLS.DLL in the SYSTEM directory within your Windows directory." and the log entry warn:ver:VERSION_GetFileVersionInfo_16 Could not find VS_VERSION_INFO in "c:\\windows\\system32\\OLE2NLS.DLL" This is harmless, but gets to be real annoying. This changed after this commit: http://source.winehq.org/git/wine.git/?a=commit;h=4094ff025675a14e7572d975d… before this, the input box was even more broken, but the glyph was better - there was '×' (multiply) sign. Was is most evident is that the last character(s) is(are) not canceled. I attach a vertical concatenation of 3 screenshots: the first is the state before hitting backspace: I typed "abcdefghijkl" and added an inline image, the second is after hitting backspace (I cancel the "g"); notice how the last "kl" are not correctly canceled and the image is not moved to the left and the third is how it should have looked. No error message is displayed while hitting backspace (it complains about IME all the time but I think it's no big deal). I have seen this problem at least in versions 1.0.1 (under Debian testing, Ubuntu hardy and intrepid, both 32 and 64 bits) and 1.0.13 (Debian testing 64 bits). The situation is even worse under Ubuntu intrepid (32 bits OS, Wine v1.0.1) as text disappears as soon as it is typed (Esc redisplays it briefly). I can live with the image (visible at the end of the line) not correctly positioned after backspace (it seldom occurs), but the last character not canceled is a real (visual) pain. I can test anything you wish and I understand programming/debugging. Thank you for any help. When using the buttons on the Main Toolbar the icons which occasionally disappear and overall 3D performance is rather slow. You can mouseover the icons and they will reappear, but it isn't overly practical... Attached is a log. If I want to select the multiplayer character, it also crashs. I think wine has problems to emulate the direct3d eninge of Vietcong. Unfortunately I can't give a better bug report, because I don't know much about wine/d3d/....
