(See compressed attachment.) When I run them with wine they look like LINUX.JPG. The program works just fine, but as can be seen there are two new features in the Linux screens: green and red backgrounds pop up and the green one hides some of the buttons. It is possible to find the buttons above only above the right part, but you must be very careful with the mouse. The programs come with a large database, so they are hard to submit. First the installer suffers from infamous bug http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9628 Happily enough Aric posted a patch http://www.winehq.org/pipermail/wine-patches/2008-October/062900.html a few days ago. After applaying the patch, the installer finsishes fine, but as the app doesn't run after it, it appeared the installation was not successfull in the end: a file MyPhotobooks.ini was missing, and that;s why the app crashes. I installed the app on windows, copied the lacking .ini file to wine, and the app starts just fine. I'll attach the +relay log from the installer. Testing was performed with the D3DX9_30.DLL fix installed, which was obtained from http://angeliqe.com/d3dx9_30.dll on 2008-11-09. You must change some options in eqclient.ini in order to run the game properly. If a setting is missing, like TextureCache, just enter it into the appropriate section. If you use the default file, VertexShaders are already TRUE, but so is TextureCache which needs to be FALSE. Moving the mouse right or down don't do a hole lot. Once your looking down you are unable to us the mouse to look anymore. I'm not sure if it's related to the preloader errors warning me it can't reserve range 00000000-60000000 or "err:dosmem:setup_dos_mem Cannot use first megabyte for DOS address space, please report" messages I get, but I think I've had these messages before in a different OS setup. M1 starts by opening M1.EXE, then opening SGS.EXE through M1.EXE. If you type the right speed, photoshop doesn't get a chance to update the image with your text, and the cursor moves with nothing appearing behind it. All the text pops in at once when your CPU gets a chance to breathe. Hit CTRL-Enter to finish typing. Press V to select the movement tool. Press the down arrow to move the text box incrementally. Watch your system monitor's CPU usage leap all over the place. Let go of down, and watch all the cached keystrokes keep your text box sliding off the edge of your image. In Windows, as soon as you let go of the arrow keys, the object stops moving. In Windows, when you type, text appears immediately on the image. When I run *any* application the window decoration is missing. Eg the top bar which you can grab to move a window, or close with [x], minimize, etc. For these windows ALT+click move doesn't work either. Some of the applications regain this window decoration after a while and then behave normally. Until then these windows are always-on-top and have no icon in the taskbar. I am running compiz right now, but I don't think this is the issue, as in wine 0.9.41 things worked just right. See the attached screenshot for what I mean. When logged it, the volume keeps resetting to zero very often, probably related to when sounds are played or stop playing. wine 1.1.6 introduced this problem, the current git version is still affected. Checking the changes from 1.1.5 to 1.1.6 affecting dsound, I found commit a4a9d50dd9651a8026044613ee537f020bd1aee6. Removal of these files fixes the problem, but in turn causes the in-game GUI to become invisible. Hello, I'm using a fully up-to-date (at the time of writing these lines) Fedora 9 installation on my AMD Athlon 64 CPU. Since all tests on the AppDB in this and later versions is silver and up, I believe that either my graphics card or my CPU bit mode is to blame. Graphics card - nVidia Corporation GeForce 8600 GT rev 161, Nvidia binary drivers. Clean wine dir, fresh install from 1.00 CD, tested with 1.09 patch as well as the 1.00 ver of the game (patched ddraw dll). Crashes after splash (or mouse or keyboard click). Attached console log. I'm a programmer so if you think I should try to comment things out, change code, etcetera, to test possible solutions, I can. Applications can select one using manifests. Winetest currently tests only one version of each dll. It should run the test suite against all available versions. Applications might expect Wine's dll's to behave like any particular version, depending on which one they select. This is not a "critical" problem but I consider it a "blocker" for most Chinese Wine users as it happens massively. This problem is reported and fixed here: http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4065 However, the fix only dealt with a particular program (picasa) and is not a universal fix. A hack specifically designed for Chinese user (codepage 936) is proposed, but not accepted because it is not "universal". This patch is based on the cp936 hack proposed in bug #4065. The patch has two flavor, the first one uses GetACP() to obtain correct codepage to use, which is preferred. The second will use environment variable WINE_DEFAULT_CODEPAGE, if not defined, will NOT affect original code flow.
