I also did a compact database, no problem (it's a fresh database anyway). The post in the bug description doesn't specify the bug ("database problems") and the appdb page it mentions http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?iAppId=615 just returns an error, so I can't see exactly what was the bug to reproduce it.
