Summary: EVE Patch fails to download as
BITS_IBackgroundCopyJob_SetPriority is not implemented
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.21
Platform: All
OS/Version: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: qmgr
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: timw(a)splhi.com
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #12312 +++
I would have preferred to reopen the original bug, but it seems I don't have
the permissions to do so, sigh. So it's cloned.
Anyway, this bug still exists, still affects the current versions of
EvE-Online, and as the 2-line patch I am about to submit shows, is trivial to
workaround.
When attempting to download any premium content patch for EVE Online (i.e. when
the client version is upgraded and the game forces a new download) an error box
pops up saying 'There was a error starting the content upgrade download.
IBackgroundCopyJob::SetPriority.' and in the console
'fixme:qmgr:BITS_IBackgroundCopyJob_SetPriority Not implemented' comes up.

Hi,
This is my first bug report for wine and I'm not a pro,
so please point out my faults.
I'm playing battlefield 2142 on wine and got punkbuster to work.
So now I can even play online without getting kicked.
The only bug I experience is when I load a second map it goes WAY slower then
the first time, it's easyer to just close the game and start over.
(My solution for now: find servers wich reload the map every 99 games.)
I don't know what is wrong, but I think the graphical card memory must be full
or something like that.
I haven't tried to fully load it and that is what I'm going to do next.
And I'll probably try using other versions of wine too. (I use 1.1.7 now)
Any idea's or questions welcome

It would be much simpler to mask out GMEM_NOTIFY unconditionally, and
probably the other ones Anastasius listed:
GMEM_DDESHARE
GMEM_DISCARDABLE
GMEM_LOWER
GMEM_NOCOMPACT
GMEM_NODISCARD
GMEM_NOT_BANKED
GMEM_NOTIFY
GMEM_SHARE
But that still requires a test case which calls GlobalAlloc() and
GlobalFlags().

In this particular case it is Luxology Modo that is messing up. I installed it
without a hitch but when I try to run Modo I get the error. Notepad runs in
wine but nothing else.
I have tried Photoshop and Autocad and all three get the same error message pop
up.
Here is the link to pastebin.

I can provide you with terminal returns on the other programs if you need them
but for right now let's get this taken care of. It may fix the others.

D2 error output
Running Arch Linux 2.6.29.3 (x86).
Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction 1.12
I get an unhandled exception error when trying to create a Battle.net game.
This only happens in full screen mode. If I start the game in windowed mode
(Diablo II.exe -w), I don't get the error and I can play the game just fine. I
attached the console output.

Summary: Warcraft 3 haven't Keyboard focus in Unmanaged mode
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.21
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: hayarms(a)gmail.com
When I run Warcraft 3 in Unmanaged mode (The window manager cannot control wine
windows) everything works well (this is the only way to get the movies working
on my system, because in Managed mode wine crashes when Warcraft 3 tries to
play movies) , but the Keyboard doesn't have focus.
I can read in the terminal from where I ran Wine what I wrote during the game,
but the game ignores the input.
In managed mode Movies are broken, but the keyboard input works correctly
