Summary: Counter-Strike 1.6 not working under Wine 0.9.50
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.50.
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: P2
Component: test
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: seoulxkorean(a)yahoo.com
I removed the default Wine 0.9.49 installation (from Ubuntu 7.10) and
compiled/installed the latest Wine (0.9.50) source. Steam runs perfectly fine
after adding the "tahoma.ttf" font into the fonts folder but counter-strike 1.6
fails to load. I tried removing the CS files from Wine and reinstalling it via
steam but it still doesn't work.
Extra notes: I haven't tried running steam or counter-strike in a few days, so
it could have something to do with a steam update -- but in either case, I
can't seem to get counter-strike running.
I get the "loading counter-strike" message after launching it, but the message
just disappears and nothing starts up.

Summary: S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - crashes when using OpenAL
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.57.
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: minor
Priority: P2
Component: directx-dsound
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: vitaliy(a)kievinfo.com
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. by default uses OpenAL wrapper for sound output. Just before
making any sound game crashes. Forcing the game to use dsound directly works
(add -dsound command line switch).

While it's possible to switch SoC to dsound backend, CS has no such option.

http://appdb.winehq.org/admin/adminMaintainers.php
The Maintainer maintenance page is used to remove inactive maintainers.
Unfortunately it loads all 4,000 maintainers every time you delete a single
one, and this takes time.
Other pages limit the number of entries shown, I'm sure the same can be done
for this page.
