On execution a black screen appeared, it doesn't respond to input etc. I switched away to my second monitor. I switched back to the first. Upon switching back to the first Wine instantly crashed. OpenGL renderer string: ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 OpenGL version string: 2.1.8087 Release OpenGL shading language version string: 1.20 I installed vcrun6 with winetricks and still no go. Also tried after installing the mfc40 and mfc42 packages and still no go. Also tried adding them in the wineconfig program also without success. Wine as such does work, World of Warcraft runs wonderfully! Attempting to install Steam on Wine, compiled myself from source. This has been going on for quite sometime, no matter if I try to compile myself, or install from pkg-add or aptitude. The attached happens during installation, and then the steam.exe crashes when you try to run it (with the error message "Steam.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.)
