Screenshot of the New User Wizard after the freeze
DNS10S installed and trained correctly until 4/17 or 4/20. Then something went
wrong with the New User Wizard.
When you click on DNS10S for the first time, you get the New User Wizard, two
screens that test microphone loudness and then sensitivity. Until recently it
worked well. Now loudness works most of the time, but sensitivity always
freezes up the program.
One thing I have noticed. There is a toggle button called Start/Stop Quality
Check. Right before the program freezes, the button changes from start to stop
all by itself, with no user input. I have included a screenshot.

Summary: start /Unix is one character short of the windows

Product: Wine
Version: 1.0-rc3

Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: programs
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: jeffzaroyko(a)gmail.com
The attached test program demonstrates the expected behaviour, it will pass if
launched from windows explorer and fail if run from the commandline.
Under wine, the expected explorer behaviour has been implemented in wine start
using the /Unix switch. It is almost correct, but is missing a space after the
quoted commandline.
The following test program demonstrates the expected behaviour and issues a
pass/fail message.
I've submitted a patch to correct this.

Log
As reported in the comments.
I have installed Civ4 and the warlords expansion so far. I installed the DX9
patch and the missing librairies as mentioned, however I cannot find the
librairies I am supposed to delete in the game directory. Are they hidden?
Both games produce these errors at startup:
Error locating tag node in SetGlobalClassInfo function
Current XML file is : GameInfo/CIV4PlayerOptionInfos.xml
Error locating tag node in SetGlobalClassInfo function
Current XML file is : GameInfo/CIV4GraphicOptionInfos.xml
And afterwards the game vanishes. A log from the original CIV4 game is included

Crash from DAoC at loading screen.
Hi!
I'm playing dark age of camelot with wine and would like to select to newer
models (catacombs models).
When I enable pixel shaders from winecfg, DAoC crashed just after the character
selection screen is loaded.
I managed to get the crash dump from a terminal ( see atachment ).
Thanks for helping out!

Output of wine in terminal seen after program crash
Orbiter (version 060929 patch 1) crashes when trying to run a scenario from the
"Launchpad" menu. This was installed using the latest stable release of Wine,
1.0.1.
Installs fine, when started "Launchpad" dialogue opens as it would on Windows.
Trying to run a scenario presents a blank turquoise screen with part of a file
name on the left hand side. Normal behavior should be a splash screen with the
files being loaded on the left hand side, before starting the scenario.
Orbiter log file shows no error, which would be expected if an Orbiter error
caused it.

Summary: holding down mouse button, mg gun only fires 1 or 2
rounds, stutters
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.12
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: doug00(a)gmail.com
In Medal of Honor Spearhead, after upgrading to Wine 1.1.12, now when I hold
down the mouse button to fire a machine gun, it only fires 1 or 2 rounds then
stops or stutters. It makes machine guns useless.
The upgrade did fix other mouse issues though, like before it took about a half
second between the time I pressed the mouse button and the gun started to fire.
I tested it in Ubuntu, and I used the "seta in_mouse -1" fix.
If you are in Ubuntu, you may also want to disable pulseaudio to get audio
working correctly.

Summary: wine-1.1.x slows to ~0.5 fps or locks up on new Core2

Old computer was amd64, 2Gig RAM, nVidia 7800GTS running Gentoo Linux
(unstable).
wine has always run my games reasonably well :)
New computer (old one died) intel Core2 Quad, nVidia 9800GX2, 4Gig Ram - again
running Gentoo Linux (unstable)
After $random amount of time games suddenly slowdown to less than a frame per
second and/or lock hard. Mouse is still responsive, but cannot actually click
anything. Sound either stops or loops over the same part. Launching game via
console does not show anything out of the ordinary. I've ruled out audio as
turning off audio in either game doesn't alleviate the issue.
When game locks like this, the OS is still perfectly usable - can alt-tab out,
email, browse, compile, etc. Closing the game I can re-start it again. However,
this is not entirely desirable :)
Games affected
EVE-Online Classix
EVE-Online Premium
World Of Warcraft (OpenGL mode)
I can't get EVE to run under wine debugger via relay. When I terminate the
debugger EVE then starts. I can no longer test WoW as my account expired.
EVE wrapped cedega client does not exhibit this issue, neither do native games
such as Doom3 or Quake4.
If any more information is required to help fix this issue, no matter how
small, I'm happy to help :)

Summary: winhelp: Make dropshadows on popup boxes semi-

Product: Wine

ReportedBy: markk(a)clara.co.uk
Currently, Wine winhelp renders drop shadows on popup boxes as solid black.
Windows 95 WINHLP32.EXE uses a cross-hatch pattern, so drop shadows appear
semi-transparent. I think Wine winhelp should do the same.
