this bug is a foobar2000 (latest version) regression. when i upgraded from
1.1.24 from 1.1.23 foobar2000 no longer worked (an apparant display issue where
everything inside the window was messed up: displays a copy of the windows
below it), you'll notice the bug right after launching the program
this was my first attempt at regression testing and i could have done it wrong!
(the last several bisects were "git bisect bad" which formed a suspicious
pattern)
in other words, this might be the wrong section of code, but i am sure this is
a regression that occured with the latest update
:~/wine-git$ git bisect bad

Summary: Rainmeter skins do not display, presented information:

Rainmeter displaying no skin on the desktop.
Firstly, I've attempted to see if similar bug postings were available for these
two outputs, but my limited knowledge on the subject isn't exactly aiding the
process. I *think* posting a new bug regarding this is correct as I am somewhat
undecided on what bugs may affect the usability of Rainmeter in relation. If I
am incorrect in my synopsis, I'll gladly move this bug information elsewhere
per reasonable request.
Rainmeter is a program which displays various GUI elements within Windows,
featuring system information neatly displayed in a varying array of skinned
elements, whether they be text, abstract graphic, anime, or otherwise.
The program itself installs and loads with no issue presented, however on
loading a skin, the problem becomes very evident. A screenshot and command
prompt log are attached to this report for show. If other things are requested,
I will attach them as well.
FYI: The stability of the program seems to be reasonable, but the failed
loading of any skin I've tried (default and non-default) makes this program
virtually useless.

Summary: Holding spacebar to use hand tool in Photoshop CS2
causes significant lag
Product: Wine
Version: 20050930
Platform: PC-x86-64
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown

ReportedBy: DeathKnight5(a)comcast.net
When running Photoshop CS2, holding the 'spacebar' key to temporarily switch to
the hand tool and trying to use it to pan around an image while having a
different tool selected will cause Photoshop CS2 to lag significantly. Using
the hand tool regularly by selecting it from the toolbar will work properly,
though.

Summary: Gothic III: Flickering black/textured polygones at some
places
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.15
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P3
Component: directx-d3d
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: svenbrauch(a)googlemail.com
At some places in the world of Gothic III, especially at towns (places with
many objects), there are polygones in the air which are either black or
textured. They are not "steady", changing the camera view and moving the hero
makes them flicker, move or change. Textured polygones are more steady and more
solid than black ones.
Looking at these polygones decreases performance of the game, the more of them
is visible, the lower the performance.
I *think* (im not sure) the appearing of these polygones is related to this
error message:
fixme:d3d_shader:shader_glsl_select >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> GL_INVALID_OPERATION
(0x502) from glUseProgramObjectARB @ glsl_shader.c / 3584
which obviously doesn't say much (... or does it do?).
The polygones appear with both fbo and backbuffer offscreen rendering method.
With fbo, performance decrease is, as far as i can see, worse.
The problems are acceptable in the desert, in the ice part of the world, and
generally outside towns; towns in myrtana are kind of unplayable, full of these
things. Here's a screenshot:

Summary: Wine doesn't build with binutils-gold
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.21
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: NEW
Keywords: download
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: dank(a)kegel.com
gold is a new replacement for ld which is much faster
(doesn't matter too much for wine, but it helps some
apps a lot).
Installing gold as the system linker, e.g. by installing binutils-gold
in Ubuntu Koala, and then building wine, fails with
/usr/bin/ld: -init: unknown option
Presumably this is gold's fault, but it'd be nice to have confirmation.

Summary: Missing 'msvcirt' from Component list
Product: WineHQ Bugzilla
Version: 3.0.2
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P2
Component: bugzilla-unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: dasnyderx(a)yahoo.com
I filed the bug, #16572, in regards to a missing component in the
'msvcirt.dll'. However, while looking over the bug, I noticed that the
'Component' selected is incorrect. Currently, the component indicated as being
at fault with the bug is 'msvcrt.dll'. The component at fault -- and not
selectable in the 'Component' dropdown -- is 'msvcirt'. As this is the correct
component at fault for the bug I reported and a DLL of the same name is shipped
with Wine, I would suggest this DLL name, msvcirt, be added to the components
selectable on the 'Components' dropdown.
