Platform: PC

Backtrace of Unhandled Exception
Attempt to start Paradox 11 gives a splash screen followed by an Unhandled
Exception due to an access to 0x00000000 in pxsrv32. Backtrace attached.
This occurs with Paradox 11 installed from CD with WordPerfect Office 11 (2003)
and WordPerfect Office X3 (2005).
The Wine configuration does not specify any native dll overrides but wsh56 was
installed in order to facility the installation of the application, which
appears to make heavy use of mfc42.dll.

Summary: Emperor fails to change resolution or be fullscreen
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.25
Platform: PC-x86-64

Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: P2

Emperor - Rise of the Middle Kingdom cannot:
[this is written for wine 1.1.25]
1) Use Virtual Desktop. Always results in a crash
2) Use fullscreen. Since the default setting is fullscreen, you are practically
blocked from starting the game. I will attach a file so you can change that.
3) Even if you use the above and to set the resolution to windowed(the game
will work fine then) you can never change the resolution
4) Also, the game also exits with a crash.
This bug may be related to bug #14995.

Screenshot that shows the empty selection square
In Word 2007, the little square above the left lineal usually shows which type
of tab stop is currently selected. Using Wine, this square is always empty.
Note: Inserting the tab stops and also changing their type by clicking on the
square works fine - the selection is just not drawn into it.

Installed in a clean prefix, attempted to run Unity.exe which failed due to
depending on wmvcore.dll, installed wmp9 using winetricks.
Attempting to start Unity.exe (the Editor) produces a trial dialog, after
clicking try the application exits.
Looking at a +relay,+seh,+tid log, there are mentions of "paceap.com" which
appears to be some sort of copy protection mechanism, could be related to the
crash.
