In the demo and full patched version the Windows dialog boxes appear: "Close Combat encountered an internal error at address [here addres] and will now exit. Game version: [here version]" The cd retail version crashes wine without any such dialog (wine output attached). It gets to the main menu, though not in full screen, and then allows you to get to the first menu for starting a new game. It allows you to select your options without a problem, though with a some lag. When you attempt to continue to the next screen the wine program informs you that there has been an error and it needs to shut down. It gives me the full list of games and videos available on Steam. If I type in "half life", and hit Enter or the Search button, I get 1272 results, and it doesn't matter what the search term is.
