In 1.1.25 the game installs but doesn't run. It looks like it fails here
creating a file called masters.ctl which then leads to an exception:
0009:Call KERNEL32.CreateFileA(0032f7f8
"C:\\windows\\temp\\AstralMasters\\masters.ctl",c0000000,00000003,00000000,00000003,00000080,00000000)
ret=00404038
0009:Ret KERNEL32.CreateFileA() retval=ffffffff ret=00404038

Still present in 1.2.25
Workaround doesn't help when in virtual desktop mode
When game asks for CD (I forgot to create a virtual drive letter for cdrom) it
redraws window properly.

That has nothing to do with this bug. This bug reports that "The shaded border
around the main window + the scrollbar are not drawn, but are transparent
instead".
Bug 201 is a different bug. Not a duplicate.

It still crashes the same way for me, using wine version 1.1.25. Last line it
display still is: "fixme:dsound3d:IDirectSound3DListenerImpl_QueryInterface
Unknown IID {31efac30-515c-11d0-a9aa-00aa0061be93}" followed by a crash

> What do you base that assumption on? Bug 201 seems to be the opposite problem.
The button background is a transparent image. Those round buttons are really
square images.

however the Livezilla.exe file (and possibly other files) does not get created.

Summary: notepad: launching with a non-existent file does not
have 'cancel' option (appinstall)
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.25
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Keywords: download, source
Severity: minor
Priority: P2
Component: programs
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: austinenglish(a)gmail.com
On windows, try running:
'notepad foo.txt'
You'll get a dialog saying it doesn't exist, and offering to create it.
Options:
Yes - Creates and opens foo.txt
No - Opens notepad with an empty file
Cancel - Closes notepad, not creating any files.
On wine, you just get Yes/No.
Side note:
Choosing yes shouldn't automatically append .txt to it, e.g., running 'notepad
foo' and choosing yes should have notepad create a file named 'foo', not
'foo.txt'.
