Summary: steamcommunity.com certificate not recognised
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.17
Platform: Other
URL: https://steamcommunity.com
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: P2
Component: mshtml
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: trs80(a)ucc.asn.au
Trying to use the community tab in Steam gives an error dialog
"steamcommunity.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is
not trusted because the issuer is unknown. (Error code:
sec_error_unknown_issuer)"
I think steamcommunity.com recently got a EV SSL certificate, so the problem is
probably that nssckbi.dll in wine_gecko needs to be updated.

Thanks, arethusa, for the regression test.
A bunch of commits starting with b28a6c18898ae1b469ecc393b23964cb2b95ea61 broke
it. The patch was:
taskmgr: Converted some functions and variables to Unicode.
How to reproduce:
wine notepad
wine taskmgr
click on the taskmgr Process tab.
Processes show up as blank lines. They are clickable and you can terminate a
process, but how will a user tell which one?
Expected behavior: A list of processes should be shown here.

Summary: regression: PAF 5 help window text is blank
Product: Wine

stdout/stderr output from Wine when user clicks on a new chapter heading to
view
In application, PAF (Personal Ancestral File) 5, the help window (brought up by
the yellow question mark in the tool bar) right-hand text pane is blank with
the most recent couple of Wine versions. The help window uses Wine Gecko.
This is a regression, as it worked better with several versions up and
including 1.1.11 than it does more recently.
With Wine version 1.1.11, the text would display. With Mandriva 2008.0, it
displayed very well. The same Wine version with Mandriva 2009.0 displays
strangely, but the text can be read if the user really wants to read it. I
have not investigated the issue between the two Mandriva releases.
Wine version 1.1.12 would not install without applying a patch to the Wine
source, so results there are a bit muddy.
With Wine version 1.1.13, the right-hand help window is always blank, even when
there should be text displayed. Wine version 1.1.14 behaves identically to
1.1.13. I'll attach the stdout/stderr output from Wine in case that helps
isolate the problem. This output happens whenever the user clicks on another
chapter of text to view.
David Lee Lambert has logged the blank help text window problem in his test
results using Debian GNU/Linux 4.0 "Etch".
I would be happy to provide debug channel output. However, my work schedule
does not leave me enough spare time to run a regression.

When I open a PNG file in mspaint (from Windows XP Pro + SP3), and then tries

the PNG file does have colors.
Paint seems to render PNG files in greyscale, seems to be an error in gdiplus.

During loading the animated load screens are corrupted, but this is minor.
Frequently however the in car view during the game shows a spatial model of the
car that reacts to driver input, however it should not be present as is obvious
for the attached screen shot as it obscures the drivers view.
Occasionaly under combinations I cannot reproduce yet the screen is fine.
