Hello,
I have been using QuoteTracker 3.9.3(h) in combination with the Interactive
Brokers datafeed on a Linux system (using Wine) for a couple of months now and
I have a consistent problem that QuoteTracker will crash after a couple of
hours displaying quote data from the IB datafeed.
I have tried different settings in Wine (related to interaction with the window
manager) and different versions of Wine; from stable to 'latest and greatest',
but the crashes remain.
Here is the error in the wine log:
---------------------------------------------------
X Error of failed request: BadIDChoice (invalid resource ID chosen for this
connection)
Major opcode of failed request: 55 (X_CreateGC)
Resource id in failed request: 0x3c98d99
Serial number of failed request: 123274918
Current serial number in output stream: 123274921

My system has the following components:
- Ubuntu linux 8.04; kernel 2.6.24-23-generic #1 SMP Mon Jan 26 01:04:16 UTC
2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux
- Wine 1.1.17
- IB TWS build 891.5 (with jdk 1.6.0_12)
Kind regards,
Mark Breman
The Netherlands.

I try to compile wine on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS - the Lucid Lynx

Probably I forgot to add a necessary package to the Ubuntu system.
However, I'd like to have the make fail at the ./configure rather than at this
point.

This is your friendly reminder that there has been no bug activity for 6
months. Is this still an issue in current (1.3.9 or newer) wine?
