Using Wine, this square is always empty. Attempting to start Unity.exe (the Editor) produces a trial dialog, after clicking try the application exits. This means the mouse position is way off so it's almost impossible to click anything since you have to "guess" where the pointer really is. Screenshot attached. The crash can only be reproduced once in a clean Wine prefix; subsequent runs succeed without the offending crash, and attempting to obtain a relay log causes the crash to seemingly disappear.
