http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=21382
Summary: %~dp0 does not expand to right value
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.36
Platform: x86
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Keywords: download, source, testcase
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: cmd
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: dank(a)kegel.com
Create 'foo.bat' containing
echo This batch file lives in %~dp0
When you run it, it should output the absolute
drive and directory of the directory containing
the batch file. This seems to work ok in casual
use... but if you put the batch file into, say,
C:\foobar\foo.bat
and do
$ wine cmd
c:> PATH %PATH%;c:\foobar
c:> foo
you will see the name of the current directory, not the expected c:\foobar.
This breaks lots of batch files, including
http://src.chromium.org/svn/trunk/tools/depot_tools/gclient.bat
which normally are run via PATH by developers who work from the
commandline.

I created a wiki page.
Please test the patches here and include it with a description into the wiki.
I made a sample and it should be clear how it should be done
If another patch from here works with a special game or so please upload the
patch again at the wiki and link it to the upload and create a new table with
the patch link and so on.
If this is done the admins can delete some of the hacks here so it gets more
clear and at the end only one attachment is in here. That for the FIX

This bug affects Lost Planet too. At least the demo. In windowed mode or
virtual desktop, the mouse escapes the window, in fullscreen mode the mouse
works only in menus and not in game (after a while you can't turn around). When
using MouseWarpOverride=force, the mouse is stuck at the center of the screen
in menus (you have to use the keyboard), but it works correctly in game.

Sorry for yet another mail...But I have to draw a line here. Stop it!
Bugzilla is not a forum. It's not here for discussing the relevance of hacks,
other discussions and especially NOT for HELP questions! This page is for
_fixing_ bug 6971, and only that.
And Wine is not a democracy. If Vitaliy doesn't want hacks in here, there
better won't be any. While I agree that hacks are needed until Xinput 2 is
available, it still doesn't justify spamming this bug with useless chatter
For all I care, make a Wiki page for your hacks and maybe link it here.
The next time someone asks how to compile Wine or why his hack won't work with
game xy, I'll go crazy.

http://wiki.winehq.org/Bugs:
Don't ask when the bug will be fixed. If a fix is in progress, it'll likely be
posted in the bug.
Wine is an open source and volunteer driven project, feel free to work on
this bug on your own, hire or sponsor someone else to do the job for you.
