Turns out you can download a trial from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=9253DBEA-CC4F-4934… sha1sum is d617c41f3b252b3689ff22623dd1c3f3da1282fb OfficeCommunicatorEVAL.EXE Oddly, when you run that .exe in wine, it says "Extracted" but doesn't go on to run the installer. Maybe this is a bug, but I skipped over it by just using cabextract to unpack it, and ran the .msi with start. If the InstallShield runtime from http://support.installshield.com/kb/files/Q108158/IsScript7.zip is installed, the installer when started proceeds past this point normally. Based on Wine error message: err:msi:ITERATE_Actions Execution halted, action L"SetARPReadme" returned 87 I am concluding that this is msi related.
