When I run AutoRun.exe it says that msiexec has encountered serious problem blah blah blah, it crashed. On an Ubuntu 8.10, x86_64 system, using latest wine 1.1.15, I could successfully install Office Visio 2007. But as soon as I open a VSD file, it closes (crash). I thaught installing visio 2007 sp1 would solve the probelm. I've dled the service pack from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=496BC7C1-ABD7-4BC7… and sarted it. Unfortunately the installer fails in the middle of the isntalation. I've used winetricks before, to enchance my wine, using these options: "riched20 vb6run wininet vcrun2005sp1 vcrun2008 winxp volnum fakeie6 allfonts ie6 vcrun6 gdiplus directx9 wsh56 msxml6 mdac28 vcrun2005 urlmon msxml4 msxml6 mfc40 hosts fontfix dotnet20" I've attached the trace. This prevents me from doing anything else while playing AO, like reading guides from the web. I'm using Sawfish as my window manager. It crashes with the error "External Exception 80000004" and Soldat must be killed from the command line. Clicking OK in the error message just causes it to come up again. This does not happen in single-player (offline play) or in servers without BE enabled. When the shadow moves forward so much that it would touch the next square, that square gets filled with red immediately, so the squares sort of "jump" forward. I have the KDE control bar displayed only on the left screen. When I start MS Word 2007 via wine 1.1.37 and place it on the right screen (which does not have the control bar!) I can see a cut off bottom when I maximize the window via the window manager. I will attach two screenshots: - The first shows a window which fits to the screen as if there was also a control bar on the right screen. - The second shows a maximized window on the right screen with the bottom cut off Note: I also tried to manually resize the window to the maximum of the screen. Tried with the digital distribution version of the game from Gamersgate which contains no copy-protection. I have to kill the process and restore the gamma through Nvidia control panel. I've tried both fullscreen and virtual desktop mode, the same hanging occurs. I have decent graphics card and i can play this game on my win xp instalation wthouth issues. But in wine everything works ok, but when i enter the game its too slow to do anything ( around 0.5 - 1 fps), and i need couple of minutes to exit game because game slows down UI. The size of this array is the 'num_ents' parameter, so the offset in the conformace discription should be 4 not 0 (which is currently hardcoded). Maybe it could be a copy protection problem. The only way to work around is to download a No-CD patch for it.
