Yes, as the music is midi based, it will stay an issue until wine implements
midi. Are there any other bug reports about midi specifically? This should
probably be merged/replaced with that one if it exists.

Well I turned on GLSL and shaders, and the game runs just fine. I can't say
that I'm particularly interested in the backbuffer problem. If I was running
on the r200 card, I would be, but even that should be getting fbo support? So
FIXED because of improved driver support (finally), but abandoned as far as the
backbuffer option. Either way I cannot complain, so I'll just say fixed.

Yes, I still find "keyboard layout selector" nowhere.

I retested with 1.1.43 and no reverted items and it is fixed.

I retired my old AGP system two months ago, and now have with an RV730 with
Mesa 7.9-dev. With this card I can test two ways now.
OffscreenRenderingMode = backbuffer
Same as R200, skybox upside-down
OffscreenRenderingMode = fbo
Not upside-down, but a slide-show.
Pbuffers was obsoleted...? and never worked for me anyway.
I'm not sure this is the solution yet. Backbuffer is playable and I'm sure I
can still hack it to flip it right. Do we keep this open as, fix upside down
with backbuffer rendering? Eventually it will be obsolete anyway.

Summary: Install problem with
WindowsXP-Windows2000-Script56-KB917344-x86-enu.exe
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.36
Platform: x86
URL: http://www.secureneterm.com
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: support(a)securenetterm.com
There is something wrong in Wine 1.1.36 as it relates to the Microsoft VBScript
installation. It appears to install correctly (no error and success message
is shown) however if you use explorer.exe to double click on a valid .vbs file,
the following message from Windows Script Host is displayed:
Can't find script engine for script "C:\temp\secure.vbs"
When my application tries to load the VBScript engine, it also fails with the
message:
Script Engine VBScript is not installed
Note that the above Microsoft VBScript install module installs and works
properly on Wine version 1.0.1-1.
I am testing on a Redhat Entrprise 5 x86_64 system.

Error log
The intro movie for Robot Wars: Arenas of Destruction fails to play on
application startup.
It is supposed to play after the splash screen that says "Robot Wars", but it
doesn't. Instead, the application skips to the main menu. Hardly a bug that I
would want fixed desperately, but a bug all the same.
Error log attached.
