I saw this with wine versions 1.1.3(0?) and 1.2 I ran in full screen mode and I also tried with windowed mode (1024x768) I'm running Ubuntu Karmic with Compiz running and cairo-dock (software renderer) on a Dell Latitude D630 with the lousy wireless card and the lousy video card, so it may not be a friendly environment. I'm happy to try to help debug this - I have copies of Windows available on CD and am an experienced software developer. I don't know the wine code, but I can compile and test if needed.
