Created an attachment (id=29823)
--> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=29823)
Error log when playing mpg and avi files
There are different behaviors for mpg and avi. The mpg doesn't start at all
while the avi playback starts but no video is shown.

The bug is still present, for both video previsualization and playing it when
the download is 100% complete. Tested it using Ares 2.1.6.3040 and wine 1.2
See log for details.

I can confirm it in 1.1.42-0ubuntu4. If i try to start a tcp/ip game, or
connect to any, it crashes. Console out:
fixme:dpnet:IDirectPlay8PeerImpl_Initialize (0x177a28)->(0x1100034,0x7a7dd0,0):
stub
wine: Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x00000014 at address 0x7aac56
(thread 0009), starting debugger...
Unhandled exception: page fault on read access to 0x00000014 in 32-bit code
(0x007aac56).
And a stack trace.
I try winetricks now.

Workaround for Pulseaudio + ALSA sound crash:
pulseaudio server has to be restarted, with "pulseaudio --kill". Then in the
wow, go to the sound settings, and you see there 2 sound devices. If you select
the other one (in my case: system, system default), which is not currently
selected, the wow sound will reinitalize, and you'll get a working sound back.
Not seem to be a wine issue, more like a pulseaudio issue.
(1.1.42-0ubuntu4)

I'm having this same problem. As far as I can tell, the winamp media library is
stored in "C:\Documents and Settings\[user name]\Application Data\Winamp" in
Windows.
Where or how does Wine use the "documents and settings" folder? Is that
configurable in Wine? I think Winamp can't see that folder. That's causing the
Media Library not to display. The media library location is not configurable in
Winamp..

Is this still an issue in current (1.2 or later) Wine?
