Patch Crash Log
Trying to run the patch first results in a Windows error message and then a
Wine crash dialogue, the patch doesn't appear or open at any point.
.NET 2 (dotnet20) is installed.
Patch linked in the download box because it may be possible to run it (and see
the crash) without the game being installed) as it crashes before it appears to
have even checked for the game.

I just tested it with 1.2.0 on Fedora 13 and it still has the same problem.

For winealsa.drv , Timidity ports are assigned midiout device 0 to 3
But for wineoss.drv , Timidity ports may not be the first 4 midiout devices

"Graphical glitches" does not qualify as "Major loss of functionality".
This is already "normal" instead of "minor".

Summary: [Thief3+cpuset] Running wine with mixed privileges or
game don't remember saves
Product: Wine
Version: 1.2
Platform: x86

Status: UNCONFIRMED

Priority: P2
Component: -unknown

[WINEDEBUG=+file] Fully working game log (with saving capability)
Thief 3: Deadly Shadows, FreeBSD cpuset (manually set suid bit), Wine 1.2
NOTE: the command from issue 2 solves the problem with issue 1, but produces
its own issue
Issue 1:
running wine with:
cd ~/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/Thief\ 3/System/ && cpuset -c -l 0 wine
T3Main.exe
results in:
wineserver: /tmp/.wine-7628 is not owned by you
if I chown by root, everything's fine, but:
Issue 2:
running wine with:
wineserver && cd ~/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/Thief\ 3/System/ && cpuset -c
-l 0 wine T3Main.exe
make the game to *not write saves*, i.e. if you push quick-save key, no "game
saved" message, and after exiting or loading, the "slow"-save list reverts to
its initial state as it was before running the game

Same problem with wine-1.3.0, it blanks the screen and then exits.
