Summary: Resizing window in 1.3.9 causes SimSig to hang
Product: Wine
Version: 1.3.9
Platform: x86
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: albertpool(a)solcon.nl
The windows of SimSig (Scrolly sims) do not have the correct size in Wine. This
is no problem for me.
Since Wine 1.3.9, I can't resize the message window anymore: any attempt to do
will hang the program. The automatic scrolling does not work OK with the
standard size. In Windows (XP and Vista tested), it does not have problems
resizing. Resizing other programs and SimSig's main view is still OK.
In Wine 1.3.8 it worked fine.

Summary: Wine does not build on amd64 when linking to 32-bit
libmpg123
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.29
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: build-env
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: scott(a)open-vote.org
I'm not 100% sure this isn't a distribution issue, however I couldn't think of
anything else to do so I'm reporting it here in case there's something obvious
in Wine I've missed.
Essentially, I've added libmpg123-dev to the build depends in the latest Wine
package, and it seems to build fine on i386:
http://launchpadlibrarian.net/31760091/buildlog_ubuntu-karmic-i386.wine1.2_…
However, doing the same thing on amd64 generates a build failure, even after
I've added a 32 bit version of libmpg123-0 to the ia32-libs package (and thus I
have /usr/lib32/libmpg123.so, /usr/lib32/libmpg123.so.0, and
/usr/lib32/libmpg123.so.0.14.3)
Configure detects /usr/include/mpg123.h as usable, however build later fails
with: mpegl3.o: In function `MPEG3_Reset':
/build/buildd/wine1.2-1.1.29/dlls/winemp3.acm/mpegl3.c:401: undefined reference
to `mpg123_feedseek'
You can see the build log here (compare with the first one above) -- search for
mpg123 to get to the relevant stuff:
http://launchpadlibrarian.net/31759796/buildlog_ubuntu-karmic-amd64.wine1.2…
If it's relevant, the libmpg123 version is 1.7.2

Summary: appdb enhancement: make it easy to see ratings of all
games by a vendor
Product: WineHQ Apps Database
Version: unspecified
Platform: x86
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P2
Component: appdb-unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: dank(a)kegel.com
It'd be cool to see ratings next to game names, e.g. when you look at
http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=vendor&iId=2664
it'd be cool to have a column for rating so you can see how many
of their games are platinum.
And then it'd also be cool to be able to have a column in
http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=vendor
showing how many games from that vendor are platinum.
And, to complete the dream, it'd be cool to have a fiter
in Browse Vendors to let you only show vendors with
apps rated platinum.

Summary: Bulletstorm: FBO removed just before bind, resulting
in crash.
Product: Wine
Version: 1.3.15

This is next-gen of #26265 which was, mostly wrong, belived to be a duplicate
of #23048. It seems that game also affected by #23048 anyway, but futher
investigation required.
Environment: Steam installed Bulletstorm, winetricks xact physx vcrun2005 gfw
HD4570, fglrx-11.2
I'll attach two WINEDEBUG="+d3d,+d3d_caps,err+all" logs. First comes from
vanilla wine and ends with X11_CritSection hanging up. By some lines right
above hang you may see, that process actually crashed, but debugger is messed
up. Right above debugger messages, there is two lines:
trace:d3d:context_destroy_fbo_entry Destroy FBO 7
trace:d3d:context_bind_fbo glBindFramebuffer() call ok.
By trivial TRACE into context_bind_fbo you may check, that binded FBO is also
7. Fglrx seems not to have any additional checks, so it simply locks down,
dumps some garbage on screen and finally bails out. Only console-reset
(ctrl+alt+f1 and back) and wine kill may recover it from this state.
Second log is from hacked wine, with context_destory_fbo call in
context_destroy_fbo_entry commented out. As you may see, game proceeds some
futher - it shows terribly miscolored scene and suggest to "Sign In", crashing
afterwards (after trying to acquire NULL context target)
Second crash may be because a hack, but first is almost sure not-fglrx related.
Maybe nvidia just checks buffer existence before binding it? Anyway, same log
from NVidia user whould be useful.

Component: wineserver

ReportedBy: toxygen1(a)gmail.com
Recently I upgraded from stable to latest development.
I did compile by hand, config being:
./configure --with-x --x-libraries=/usr/X11R6/lib/
--x-includes=/usr/X11R6/include/
I'm using Mac OS X 10.4.11 + XQuartz-1.4.2-apple44 (also compiled by hand)
any other applications (except wine) cooperate with Xorg nicely, opengl
working, everything's fine.
However if I try to run any application, even notepad, I get hundreds of
messages:
Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: Maximum number of clients reached
I included part of output as attachment.
Also, sometimes after closing wine & wineserver I'm not able to run any other
application in Xorg anymore, I must restart Xorg. But that's not always the
case.

Summary: EPIM trolls my Desks on Ubuntu
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.25
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: saverio.pub(a)inbox.com
Always reproducible bug; though there isn't an exact way to reproduce it, it
always shows withing minutes of usage.
I have a Ubuntu Desktop with 2 Desks, left and right.
I launch EPIM on the right desk (because of a bug I'm going to report
separately), wait until it opens, and keep it maximized.
After a few minutes of working with other programs, and/or switching desks,
and/or working with EPIM (involving opening of popup windows, but always
keeping the app in the right Desk), EPIM autonomously moves to the left
desktop.
System: Ubuntu Karmic alpha 2 (but was happening on Jaunty as well)
