please note that under dwarf, you can now see correct function names, as well
as name space support
type support is still to be improved (inherited classes should be fine (to be
tested), virtual inheritance is not supported)
A+

I'm using wine 1.3.17 and the only thing that stops it from crashing on a
headshot is to set Windows version to Windows 98. The audio lags for a second
afterwards then catches up with itself retuning to normal.

The win98 workaround doesn't work in the latest wine versions.

I have this problem whenever I get a headshot in CS:S the only workaround is to
set the windows version to Windows98.
I recorded a demo in Windows that causes CS:S to crash everytime. It's de_dust2
using the scout shooting a T in the head. From reading the previous comments.
I'll try to crash CS:S using different weapons for the headshots, maps and being
both ct and t. Because it seems only sometimes for some people. For me it's
every single time.

Summary: Heroes of Might and Magic III hangs completely from
time to time
Product: Wine
Version: 1.2.2
Platform: x86-64
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: m.goleb+winehq.org(a)gmail.com
I use gog.com version of Heroes of Might and Magic III Complete:
http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/heroes_of_might_and_magic_3_complete_edition
under Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick) x64 with kernel 2.6.35 and wine from ubuntu-wine
PPA:
https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-wine/+archive/ppa
Current wine version from there is 1.2.2-1ubuntu1~maverick2. I use ALSA.
Each 20-60 minutes (it varies a lot) during the single player game the game
hangs completely and I have to manually kill the process.
I've experienced the same problem on Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid) x64 with kernel
2.6.32 and wine 1.0.1 (or sth like that).
I might try to run it from a console and try to get error messages. Or is there
a place where logs are written anyway?

This might as well be a font issue, since HL2DM runs fine, but as soon as the
font for killing someone with the gravity gun comes up (it really doesn't, but
when I'm either killed or when someone else is killed with the GG, it crashes).

Upon testing Pegasus Mail under Wine 1.1.42 I find you cannot open the links in
its help file. Clicking on the external links in the help file is supposed to
open your web browser and take you to the web page, but nothing happens when
you click on these links in the help file. This might be a bug in other
programs' help files?
