Summary: winetest-1.1.32 Can't enumerate test files: 998 after
refusing to install Gecko
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.32
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Mac OS X 10.5
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: mshtml
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: hoehle(a)users.sourceforge.net
CC: jacek(a)codeweavers.com
Hi,
I cannot submit winetest results for 1.1.32 for the Mac because it exits
immediately after I refuse to install Gecko.
It displays: Can't enumerate test files: 998
winedbg reveals a null pointer exception.
=>0 0x422aa61b _update_window_doc+0x1b() in mshtml
1 0x422ac9d3 _HTMLWindow_Create+0xb3() in mshtml
6 0x7b86f59a _EnumResourceNamesA+0x3aa() in kernel32
(alas, winedbg on the Mac does not show source code line numbers, unlike
Linux).
git bisect yields
commit f9eff688918f68ae4eb793032474e69dfa689f55
Author: Jacek Caban <jacek(a)codeweavers.com>
Date: Wed Oct 21 21:27:42 2009 +0200
mshtml: Moved nsdoc to HTMLDocumentNode object.
My setup is
OSX 10.5.7, XQuartz 2.3.3.2, gcc 4.2
configure --disable-win16
Oddly, past MacOSX winetest results of mine on test.winehq reported mshtml as
missing.
http://test.winehq.org/data/e8ce3e600a40a739f75d6716aae555c31b0b4d0d/index_…
I don't know why (perhaps because I did not install Gecko?).
Regards,
Jörg Höhle

Wine's errors starting ZAN.EXE
Initially I thought this was a Securom issue, but the real problem seems to be
different. I have been trying to load an Italian dictionary program (ZAN.EXE)
off a CD, but it crashes every time.
fixme:ntdll:RtlNtStatusToDosErrorNoTeb no mapping for 00000005
See the attached files for OS X's crash report and for the exact error output
wine gives.

Log file from Darwine
When you produce an archive in Paquet Builder, during the stage when the files
are compressed you get a page fault and the archive build fails. Regardless of
the compression algorithm used, you are unable to build an archive due to this
page fault.
Reproduction steps:
1. Install Paquet Builder
2. Play around with some settings
3. Add some files to your package
4. Build the package
5. Notice the error.

darwine 1.1.15 googlecode build -- with ie6
TntMPD has a feature where you can connect to a web service and download all
donations for your account into TntMPD. Click the "Gift Input" button. This
is one of the most useful features of TntMPD in my opinion.
This feature gives an runtime error in TntMPD. There is no obvious module that
is at fault, as far as I can tell, but maybe someone with more experience with
Wine can specify a module.
I'm on a mac and ran three tests:
1) http://darwine-builds.googlecode.com/files/Darwine-x86-1.1.15.dmg build,
with ie6 installed using winetricks.
relevant files: screen1.png, tntmsg1 (the text of the debug info TntMPD
gives), trace1 (wine's output), winecfg_libraries_1a.png and 1b.png (screenshot
of winecfg Libraries tab)
2) same build as 1), but without ie6
relevant files: screen2.png, tntmsg2, trace2, winecfg2.png,
3) macports wine-devel 1.1.15, without ie6. I notice this doesn't have an
error about wininet missing libssl.0.9.7.dylib on the output, but it still
gives an error in TntMPD.
relevant files: same as 2), plus trace2_macports_devel

If the needed constants are available, we can support all vs_2_0 and ps_2_0

This goes along with log output not seen before:

e-Sword and installable add-one fail with what appears to be an infinite loop
on richedit stub implementation of EM_FORMATRANGE. The current workaround is
to drop in a native version of riched20.dll. A proposed patch is in issue 6524
which may also correct this situation. Process had to be terminated by running
a ps -aux and kill -KILL the process.

Severity: normal
Priority: P2

The keyboard mapping is weird or something else is broken:
- Shift Right does not select&highlight one character to the right of the
cursor. Instead, a strange asterisk appears.
- Shift Left replaces the character to the left with a plus sign.
- Shift Down moves one line down, marks the text in between (like Shift Down on
Linux), deletes it, in effect joining with the part of the following line
starting with the current column.
- Shift Up does something similar upwards but additionally inserts a /.
+ Control keys work (print menu, save, undo etc.)
+ Umlauts work
+ F5 (insert date and time) works. You may need to press fn-F5, depending on
your System Preferences.
The xev programs reveals that all keycodes are different than on a
Linux laptop, but the keysyms are the same.
FYI, xev also shows that X11.app maps the command key to alt (aka. Meta_L/R)!
I find this unfortunate, as Cmd-xyz will conflict with X11.app's own menus.
I'm using the German locale and Apple keyboard.

Summary: SetWindowPos, when called on Mac, moves the window even
if SWP_NOMOVE is specified
Product: Wine
Version: 1.0.0
Platform: Macintosh
OS/Version: Mac OS X 10.5
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: P2
Component: user32
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: moe(a)hup.de
The following bug was found in the current stable version of wine when executed
on Mac OS X with latest X11. The unstable testing versions also seem to contain
it.
Our old windowing framework (zApp) calles DrawMenubar() after you've done
modifications to the menu of an application.
DrawMenubar() itself calles
SetWindowPos( hWnd, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, SWP_NOSIZE | SWP_NOMOVE |
SWP_NOACTIVATE | SWP_NOZORDER | SWP_FRAMECHANGED );
This call moves the window approximately by the height of the title bar to the
bottom.
If you omit the SWP_NOSIZE flag, the window is moved to 0,0 - if you enable it,
the window is just moved down.
I gave this bug a major severtity as this effects nearly all of our
applications. You can test it by just calling the SetWindowPos line above.
