When I turn a bit, everything is fine again. Portal run through Steam shows a similar issue, especially when I am close to one of the portals it gets really bad and I can hardly recognise anything on screen. I will try to attach a screenshot. I don't have the Uru glitches on my main desktop system (NVidia GeForce 8500, binary drivers), so I assume it is somehow related to my laptop's graphics card: AMD/ATI Radeon HD 3200, binary drivers, Ubuntu 10.04 64bit. I compiled wine myself. As attachment shows, it is not fully painted and also red circle is missing. Interesting is, that this is painted on nearby texture and sometime you need to shot to the wall and when explosion disappear then in the place of explosion there is part of the map. And more interesting if you press F2 (special light?) map is fully painted even in open space. Steps to reproduce: 1. Set wine to windowed mode 800x600 2. Download and install 3. There is savegame in bug 23274 (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=29010) 4. In game don't check 3d acceleration 5. After dialog with db parameters I press ok button, and segmentation fault (handled gracefully in ibexpert) appear. so I can't register databases. + many GUI glitches. under windows all works OK for so many years. distro: http://www.ibexpert.com/rus/ibe_sfx.exe In addition: Author said: This version is not fully-functional until having Windows-1251 locale on computer. Windows-1251 is the russian locale (RU). It only seems to occur when selecting different VOBs or titles, but I'm not completely sure.
