Envisioneer 4.5 Express Setup output
On Windows, after the Envisioneer 4.5 Express installer completes, there should
be resource data files installed that belong to Envisioneer 4.5 Express located
under %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data\Cadsoft\Envisioneer 4.5 Express. With
wine-1.1.35-105-gd4a7a9d, however, only %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application
Data\Cadsoft\Envisioneer 4.5 Express\Cadsoft.lic appears to have been
installed. The missing data files result in the Envisioneer 4.5 Express
application failing with:
"No quick key definitions found"
and later
"Unable to load: C:\users\Public\Application Data\Cadsoft\Envisioneer 4.5
Express\Catalogs\Env4_5 Express Master Catalog.bdb"
which result in the application hanging.

Bug #: 30137
Summary: Depth Hunter unable to take photos without native
d3dx9_36 (D3DXSaveSurfaceToFileA not implemented)
Product: Wine
Version: 1.4
Platform: x86

OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Keywords: download
Severity: minor
Priority: P2

Depth Hunter is an underwater fishing game. The game starts and runs fine using
only built-in d3dx9* dlls, but taking photos in the game doesn't work without
native d3dx9_36.
There is no error message or crash, photos are simply not saved.
These messages are showing up in the console when I take a picture in the game:
>fixme:d3dx:D3DXSaveSurfaceToFileA (0x32fa58, 0, 0x29e9520, (nil), 0x32f848): stub
>fixme:d3dx:D3DXSaveSurfaceToFileA (0x32f858, 0, 0x2745b40, (nil), 0x32f838): stub
Steps to reproduce the problem with the demo version:
1. winetricks mfc42
2. install the demo. At the end of installation choose to *not* to install
DirectX.
3. start the demo with depthhunter.exe. Start a new game. While in the game
press 'r' to bring up the photo camera and press the left mouse button to take
a photo.
Although the demo version lacks the in-game photo gallery feature, you can find
the pictures in ~/DepthHunter/Photos directory. Pictures are in bmp format.
Native d3dx9_36.dll is a workaround.

Summary: Total Overdose: audio issues with 'Diesel Power 3D'
sound system
Product: Wine
Version: 1.3.23
Platform: x86
URL: http://www.gamershell.com/download_10831.shtml
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: gyebro69(a)gmail.com
The full version of the game offers 3 choices of sound system: Auto, Diesel
Power 3D and Directsound.
On my system only Directsound works reliably (music, voices, sound effects).
When either 'Diesel Power 3D' or 'Auto' is selected audio is not playing
correctly:
- music is popping during the cutscenes
- voices are skipping a lot during cutscenes
- and most importantly sound effects and voices are missing from the game (only
ambient sounds are playing).
The demo version doesn't allow you to change in-game sound system, it always
uses Diesel Power 3D.
A plain terminal output doesn't reveal too much, the only relevant lines are:
fixme:dsalsa:IDsDriverBufferImpl_SetVolumePan (0x13a300,0x13a738): stub
fixme:dsalsa:IDsDriverBufferImpl_SetVolumePan (0x13a600,0x13b1a8): stub
At least the audio issue during the cutscenes can be worked around by setting
ALSA to 'emulation' but sound effects and voices are still missing from the
game when Diesel Power 3D is used as in-game sound system.

Summary: Give kernel32.GlobalMemoryStatus(Ex) own/separate
debug channel, different from +heap (ntdll)
Product: Wine
Version: 1.5.3
Platform: x86
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P2
Component: kernel32
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: focht(a)gmx.net
Classification: Unclassified
Hello,
just an enhancement request.
.NET runtime makes extensive use of this API (-Ex version) to check resource
usage while doing CPU/memory-intensive jobs.
The same mechanism can also be found in some installers: Windows SDK 8 etc.
To track down reported memory usage problems I had to give that API (lives in
kernel32 heap.c) an own debug channel to see what is actually reported to
applications at runtime.
Using the default +heap channel for kernel32 heap.c also triggers ntdll's
heap.c and enables all sorts of unintended heap checking which is not what I
want in this situation (generates huge logs and makes things very slow - even
if I use a pipe for filtering).
It would also trigger kernel32.GlobalAlloc() traces.
If own/separated debug channel is not feasible - ok - just another patch in my
private repo.
Regards
