One interesting tidbit: the app seems to make use of "bits" service for updates. This type of equipment is very common now in video surveillance. The DVRs maybe operated/viewed from a SW in cellular phones, Internet Explorer with an activex loaded from the DVR and from installable SW called CMS for Windows OS. I would apreciate if someone could make it run on Wine. It installs without error , but when trying to execute the SW freezes. I can make available a DVR with cameras connected to internet to make tests. There are other packages to convert videos, play videos , install activex etc. All chinese made and with minimum documentation. I may send if needed or asked. Thanks. Movie Magic Screenwriter 2000 now crashes when selecting Program Options from the File menu. Instead, the app throws up a warning that resources are dangerously low and telling me to close some programs and possibly reboot. So something else is also going on, but I'm afraid I don't know how to proceed from here to track it down.
