DirectDraw3 needs to be rewritten on the top of DirectDraw4. So this patch will
never be merged in git.

Thank you.

Still works in wine 1.5.23, assuming fixed. If anyone is still able to
reproduce feel free to reopen.

Backtrace from the crash.
I followed instructions from this post:

I'm attaching the installation dialog.
The app started, installed Mono and something else, and started, allowed a
login and started to resume a movie I had viewed. Then, the app crashed, and
the backtrace window came up. I'm not enough of an expert to figure this out by
myself, so any help on this in my quest to use my Netflix subscription with my
favorite OS would be appreciated.

All patches in this bug seem to be already in wine. I think it's interesting to
try again in wine 1.5.23. If possible attach the program that causes trouble so
others can test too.

Bug #: 32914
Summary: Planetside 2 jumpy mouse movement
Product: Wine
Version: 1.5.23
Platform: x86
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: privat(a)cirk2.de
Classification: Unclassified
In Planetside 2 the mouse does not move fluently.
This issue first appeared in Beta of the game (which was the first version
tested). At that time there was a workaround for it: Playing the Windowed game
in an emulated desktop. This helped but would break after some time (30min+) so
it was acceptable.
This workaround also worked for the initial release version of the game. But
after the first major patch (1. half of December 12) the workaround completely
broke.
The mouse movement is "laggy" like playing with very low FPS. Actual game FPS
are not affected and are in smooth regions (20-40fps depending on crowdedness).
Also the "laggyness" is independent of fps.

Summary: Inconsistent registry keys

There are cases in which Wine does create Windows XP registry keys but is
showing Windows 7 in winecfg. Here is a way to reproduce this:
Create a new profile with a manually created system.reg with the following
content:
WINE REGISTRY Version 2
#arch=win64
[Software\\Microsoft\\Windows NT\\CurrentVersion]
"CSDVersion"="Service Pack 1"
"CurrentBuildNumber"="7601"
"CurrentVersion"="6.1"
"ProductName"="Microsoft Windows 7"
[System\\CurrentControlSet\\Control\\ProductOptions]
"ProductType"="WinNT"
If winecfg is started the first time it will configure the rest of the registry
keys. But although winecfg is now showing Windows 7
[Software\\Wow6432Node\\Microsoft\\Windows NT\\CurrentVersion] and
[System\\CurrentControlSet\\Control\\Windows] have got Windows XP entries. To
be precise a diff looks like this:

+++ a/system.reg
