Backtrace of crash on loading
I have some old software which drives a simple glaucoma tester which is driven
by the serial port. The software isn't really supported any more, but the
people who make it still operate: http://www.medmont.com.au/
I cannot even get the software to load. There is an unhandled page fault on
loading.
Attached is the backtrace, but it seems mighty unhelpful.

SoulSeek crashes at startup. Error messages from terminal are pasted below.
Problem occurs consistently ever since I installed Wine 1.5.20. Never had any
such problems before with previous versions of Wine. Recompiled Wine to make
sure I'm using the latest ports/sources but problem remained. I'm used to
seeing a few minor errors in the terminal but the errors below are clearly more
severe...

Summary: Dungeon Keeper 2 with hardware acceleration patch (GOG

terminal output
Just like for Soulbringer (see bug #30745), GOG made an in-house patch for
Dungeon Keeper 2 too. The patch makes hardware acceleration available in the
game, fixes stability issues and allows to play the game in higher resolutions.
The patched version seems to work fine in Windows (according to the forum posts
on GOG), unfortunately it crashes in Wine (somewhere in wined3d).
I see the same crash with Wine 1.2.3, 1.4.1, wine-1.5.9-267-g8f108a0.
The patch installs 2 new files in the game directory: DKII-dx.exe and
patch.dll. When starting the game with DKII-dx.exe, the screen turns black for
a couple of seconds, then Wine crashes.
The 'normal' executables for the game (DKII_SOFT.EXE and DKII.exe) are still
able to start the game.
Please let me know if you need a log with the appropriate debug channels
enabled.
The attached backtrace was created with wine-1.5.9-267-g8f108a0.

error log from trying to run Kult.exe
I've installed Kult Heretic Kingdoms on Wine and applied an upgrade patch, it
won't work with or without the patch. Before this it said mfc42.dll was
missing, so I added it from a windows install and went right ahead trying to
run the game, each and every time I get an unhandled page fault.

Program Error Details
Civ V used to run great under Wine, but now consistently crashes at certain
points. The event triggering the crash appears to change between different
games.
I didn't observe this happening before installing Wine updates and upgraded
Ubuntu OS to Raring Ringtail 13.04 on April 6, 2013. I'm running the same
version of Civ V that worked previously and no updates have been released for
it.
Thanks - let me know if you would like more information and I'll give you what
I can.

Log when i launch the game with Wine
Hi,
There is a problem with this game. When i launch it with wine, the game crash
once game start with this error message :
..\..\..\src\thread\ms\thread.cpp(328) : ASSERT FAILURE: Ret()
But it's possible to launch the game correctly with "winedbg" even if i must to
press "c" 2-3 times to launch finally the game.
The game itself works, even if it's slow when there are more people or during
the fight but it's playable. I don't try to play in fullscreen mode for the
moment.
Anyone has a idea to search and try to find why the application does not works
with Wine ?
Thanks,
Berillions

Summary: Spectrum Lab problem on mouse button release when win.
version is set to win xp
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.42
Platform: x86-64
URL: http://www.qsl.net/dl4yhf/spectra1.html
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: wine(a)lipkowski.org
Spectrum Lab (free download from
http://dl4yhf.ssl7.com/speclab/install_speclab.zip) has a problem with
(probably) not getting mouse button up events. How to reproduce: set wine to
windows xp mode, run the program, press left mouse button with cursor on the
frequency scale: the "four sided arrow cursor" turns into a "two sided arrow",
release the mouse button: the cursor is still a "two sided arrow" (like it is
when the button is pressed, this mode is used to drag the frequency scale). Now
change the windows version in winecfg to windows ME, upon releasing the mouse
button the cursor properly reverts to the "four sided arrow" cursor mode.
It looks like the app doesn't get the "mouse button released" in this
particular case, but only in this case (menus work etc).
This issue is present in all versions of spectrum lab i've tried (this time
confirmed on the latest: v2.75b09). The kernel is 2.6.33.2 (used many different
kernels), the system is Debian lenny x86_64. Now i have wine 1.1.42 installed,
but the bug was present in other 1.1.x versions tried (x=40-42, and a few
versions around 20-30), and in the distribution package 1.0.1
I think that this issue is absent on wine 1.0.1 compiled from source on
slackware 11.0 (intel 32bit distribution), but i can't check this right now.

This happens only when you're ingame. The §/6 (azerty/qwerty) key maps to a
diffrent key, and the -/= (azerty/qwerty) also maps to a diffrent key.
I haven't found any other.
