Last used on 6 June 2013, operated normally. With a yum update on 8 June WINE version 1.5.29 was installed. 0n 9 June the application will not launch. Attempt to launch the application pops up an error window stating "Unexpected error; quitting." Command line launch yields same result. PPA updating fails. The Sims turns off after run it without error messages. Before this I had "Unhandled exception" error, but I fixed it with Internet Explorer 7 and vcrun6. At now the game starts - I see black screen and The Sims turns off. I sent 2 log files - first with clean WINEDEBUG section (wineprefix_debug.log) and second with WINEDEBUG=+tid,+relay,+seh (wineprefix_debug_tid_relay_seh.log) The Sims runs at Wine 1.4.1. but Sims textures in game are white. I can't select any action with Sims. I sent log from this (+tid +relay +seh). I have problems to start windowsgames with wine. Windows-Programs like WinRar 32bit started without any problems. Native games for Linux, like hedgewars, works without problems, too. I has start the game Counter-Strike 1.0.0.0 to get some informations, about errors. I use xubuntu precise with the wine team ppa added. As stated above. Was without wifi for 3 days, once back online I ran the standard apt-get update and apt-get upgrade. During upgrade it fizzled out on wine1.6 and I was unable to continue upgrading *anything* due to the wine package being broken. I had to purge wine et all and playonlinux to upgrade everything else, and attempting to reinstall wine using sudo apt-get install wine results in the below attachment, the key issue seems to be on line 26-7: dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/wine1.6_1.6~rc1-0ubuntu1~ppa2_amd64.deb (--unpack): trying to overwrite '/usr/bin/wine64-preloader', which is also in package wine1.6-amd64 1.6~rc1-0ubuntu1~ppa2 -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
