Bonus would be to try the same without -mthumb-interwork. make clean should be needed i guess. The game is quite an oldie, needed Windows 98 mode to install and to start. You can blindly click on the menu items (causing an exception in Wine) but you can't see them. My terminal output contains a crash: Wine always crashes when you click on any of the (invisible) menu items. I tried the game with a couple of older versions of Wine (1.1.9, 1.1.15, 1.1.22, 1.1.27, 1.1.39): items were invisible in all.
