Following the log, this part of check at dlls/msacm32/stream.c:93 failed on

Still, I haven't found why it fails.
I'll attach same log from win32-only wineprefix which plays sound just ok.

I´ve installed visio2003 with the lastest version of Wine 1.1.29. So far it
seems to work fine, except when it comes to opening vsd files.
It takes forever to render and load all the vsd objects.

Summary: Warcraft III freezes with a black screen on startup
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.56.
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: ningo(a)gmx.net
Note: This is _NOT_ related to #6618. The freeze happens *after* the intro ends
by e.g. hitting the mouse key.
Without renaming the movies folder, the following error shows up:
This application has encountered a critical error:
FATAL ERROR!
Program: C:\Program Files\Warcraft III\war3.exe
Exception: 0xC0000005 (ACCESS_VIOLATION) at 0073:7EF91B95
The instruction at '0x7EF91B95' referenced memory at '0x00000015'.
The memory could not be 'read'."
With the movie folder renamed the Warcraft III just freezes with a black
screen.
Frankly, it's just a matter of timing: If you wait ~5 Seconds before skipping
the intro Warcraft III freezes, if you skip the intro immediately the error
message pops up.
Also, see the comments by 'Clement' on the AppDB Page.
Note: Downgrading to 0.9.45 didn't solve my problem.

Bug #: 34934
Summary: .exe quicklook generator
Product: Wine
Version: 1.7.4
Platform: x86-64
OS/Version: Mac OS X
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: f.platte(a)platte-web.de
Classification: Unclassified
This is not a bug at all. It's just a nice-to-have feature. That's why it's
marked as an enhancement.
When having an exe file under Linux (at last Ubuntu) you can easily see it's
icon in the file browser.
This is not possible under OS X although it appears to be a rather easy task,
as the icon can be extracted from the icon resources without further efforts.
You can extract them using Keka.app (a great os x packaging tool), and than you
will find a hidden .rscr folder with (a) subfolder(s) one of then containing an
"ICON" folder including the applications icon.
What may be also be achived, having a quick look plugin is, that an exe file is
no longer considered as being a developer file, but being an executable, which
would make them much easier to run them.

Summary: foobar2000: In under a week, sound ceases to work

Product: Wine

Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: M8R-3c0586(a)thisisnotmyrealemail.com
I use foobar2000 to play music. For several days, it works fine, but always
some time between 4 and 7 days, sound will cease working. Playback halts and
the progress bar ceases to move.
When sound stops, some times it is possible to quit and restart foobar2000 to
get sound working again. Other times, sound will work for 5-10 seconds and
then cease to work again. When the latter bug appears, only a complete reboot
will allow wine to start working again.
These are the only error messages that appear when running wine. They appear
right away. Nothing new appears at the moment that sound stops.

I am using the ALSA driver for sound. The bug exists with 1.2.2, 1.3.17, and

Using the Evernote 4.0 Autoupdate function it will download the update but it
won't install it. Likewise downloading 4.0 afresh won't install if Evernote 4.0
has already been installed. (Renaming .wine - as a drastic step - is a
circumvention which works.)
