Summary: Battle Eye for Dayz
Product: Wine
Version: 1.7.13
Hardware: x86
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
Reporter: theforumadmin(a)inbox.com
soooooo battle eye is what you need to get into the regular Dayz servers right
it is an anti hack thing i guess they make the servers have. I guess wine does
not like this application because it causes the game to crash! How do i know it
is not the game well they have experimental servers that do not have Battle eye
that work ok but no one really plays on them. I would appreciate it if you
would look into this and thank you for taking the time in reading this

I installed JDK 5.0 from some old CD-ROM I had lying around. When I upgraded to
wine 1.6.1, this would start happening every time I started wine.

Output when installing the game
After installing Medieval 2 Total War from disc sucessfully. I can not launch
the game without applying a no-cd patch because wine says it can not find the
cd even though both drives show up in winecfg. Note: I used iso files and
mounted them in /mnt/m2tw1 and /mnt/m2tw2/ it should not make a difference as
they both show up in winecfg.
On windows xp when using real physical drives it worked fine.

Summary: I cannot open anything in Wine.

It doesn't matter what program I am running. I cannot run any windows programs
at all. Steam wont open. The Battle.net launcher won't open. Nothing. I
only get "please report error" windows from Battle.net. The terminal doesn't
give any red flags for me when I run a program through there, but things still
won't open. I have Wine 1.6.1 and can't update it to 1.6.2/ My computer
doesn't want to for some reason. Please help, or tell me how to go back to an
earlier version where things worked. Thank you.

What my Terminal spits out.
Okay so now this is just lollipops and rainbows. I finally figure out that I
have been running a very early version of Wine so I go to update it. Nothing
happens. So then I decide to try doing it manually. I add the repository. I
update via terminal. Then I go to install and I get an error message telling
me that it is "broken". Help?

Summary: PascalABC.NET 2.2 IDE (.NET 4.0 app) crashes

Crash log when running on WOW64 prefix
PascalABC.NET IDE crashes on start. I've tried to use win32 wineprefix (with
dotnet20 and dotnet40) and WOW64 (with dotnet40 only, as dotnet20 refuses to
install), both gives the same results (by results I mean crash logs).
Interestingly, command-line compiler works fine.
I've tried several versions of wine, from 1.7.8 to development snapshot, with
no luck.

Summary: bad HTML in ppa line results in leading space in
Firefox
Product: WineHQ.org
Version: unspecified
Hardware: x86-64
URL: http://www.winehq.org/download/ubuntu
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: www-unknown
Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
Reporter: info(a)skierpage.com
Classification: Unclassified
I followed the instructions in http://www.winehq.org/download/ubuntu ,
but when I copy and paste the line
ppa:ubuntu-wine/ppa
into Muon Package Manager (the Kubuntu software installer), the button to add
the source wouldn't enable.
The glitch is if you triple-click the line in Firefox (and SeaMonkey) and copy
it, it includes a leading space, so the Software Sources dialog thinks it's
invalid. The workaround is easy, remove the leading space in the dialog, but
it's easy to miss.
The fix is to fix the HTML of that page to not have the whitespace in front.
It's currently the invalid
<p>Then, <b>copy and paste the line below</b>.</p>
<i>ppa:ubuntu-wine/ppa</i></p>
If you change the second line to
<p><i>ppa:ubuntu-wine/ppa</i></p>
then the problem goes away.
