I saw a mailing list discussion about this problem but I got the impression this wasn't going to be changed anytime soon (because it's "good enough"). Well, it isn't. As wrong as it may be, some programs rely on parsing other programs debug output, and this breaks down in wine. The specific application I'm having trouble with is FF7Music, some hack that uses debug output to replace the music in Final Fantasy VII. I tried to add the mount path of the dvd to disk list with type 'CD-ROM', but that didn't help.
