Hardware ACER 4755G with 750GiB Hard Disk, 2GiB RAM, Intel Core i5-2430M Processor. This bug also affected previous WINE Versions. Double-clicking on one will give you a yes/no confirmation dialog and if you hit yes that information will be imported into the registry file (providing the .reg isn't deleting keys vs. adding them). The standard installation of Visual Basic 6's mouse wheel add-on will be broken until .reg files are associated with Regedit (providing one doesn't do a workaround like running regedit and then clicking on File --> Import). I've used a lot of other programs over the years that also required opening reg files, this might as well be the default behavior since it's the default behavior in Windows and it's just a registry setting. To fix this bug, the attached reg file needs to be compared with other Windows XP users and then whatever is common, should become part of Wine. This only happens within the drawing area, eg copying symbols/text/lines from one drawing to another or within the same drawing ofen but not always gives the last text or url i copied in Open Office or Firefox. Copying from a native app like Open office into VectorWorks always works correctly. Copying from VectorWorks into a native app has the same result as pasting within VectorWorks. The bug is an old one. It was shown in http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=17674 but never really fixed. There seems to be a work around for Mac only. The bug himselves is persisting. I found that the prob comes with free scalable fonts. A call of dlls/winex11.drv/xfont.c function XFONT_ReadCachedMetrics fails if any font has in pfi->df.dfPixelHeight no value. This seems to be so on nearly every free scalable font. A possible solve is to ask first wether it is a free scalable font (if(pfi->fi_flags&FI_SCALABLE) {...) and if not to ask wether this value is zero (...} else if(pfi->df.dfPixelHeight==0) {...). After this small patch my wine was recaching the fonts (about 16000...) in a correct manner. The COM works in general, I can create an application object and call methods on it, but on another object (returned by a method call), access to any property results in the following error: Object doesn't support this property or method: 'CodePage' (Note: Property name is spelled correctly, any other property doesn't work either.) This can be seen when I run D3D9 device tests, leading to test failures (see attachments). I am on the NVIDIA proprietary driver version 313.18, which may be relevant as this driver does have the "broken" XRandR 1.2. I cannot test with Nouveau because it doesn't support my GPU. When I have a listbox, the field is not correctly initialized, despite the list is ok. Debugging my application, I have found that it is due to a strange memory management. I start by saying that Clipper/xBase uses dynamic scoping, so the value of a variable is the last assigned to it into the stack; a variable can be local or global (prefixed by m->). When using the dialog that has the problem, I use the activation command (Fivewin library): m->mTipoDoc:=.... // assign the global variable m->mTipoDoc activate DIALOG oDlg centered on init (SettaCombo()) function SettaCombo() // initialization code of the dialog ... // use the global variable m->mTipoDoc but, at this point, when using WINE, the variable has lost its content and is empty I solved the problem using a local variable that temporarily holds the value of the global variable: m->mTipoDoc:=.... // assign the global variable m->mTipoDoc local tmpcod:=m->mTipoDoc // to solve the wine bug activate DIALOG oDlg centered on init (SettaCombo(tmpcod)) function SettaCombo(val) m->mTipoDoc:=val // to solve the wine bug ... // use the global variable m->mTipoDoc Evidently the local variable is managed in a different way by WINE and the error has disappered. To test this behaviour, I wrote the attached sample program. Into the zip there is a readme.pdf that explains how it works. The Preview and works OK, but then any label drawn in the app uses the System font. The effect is akin to bug #29758, but my logs don't include the error reported there. Instead, I guess Wine is messing somewhat within the WM_GETFONT and/or WM_SETFONT calls, yet my debugging abilities are pretty limited. WM_GETFONT calls aren't returning NULL, but decimal 504, I wonder if that WM_SETFONT takes that as an invalid handle. Export function in ArtRage 3 Studio Pro Demo version (as well as in full version) doesn't work. When trying to export a painting as an image, an error occurs which states: "Generic Failure. Not enough memory to perform action." However, it is not lack of RAM that is the cause of problem (at the time of testing I had over 2GB free RAM). Also, in ArtRage 2.5 export function works as expected on the same machine.
