Clicking Cancel does let you back out cleanly. Installing ie7 didn't fix the problem, but oddly, when you click on OK, now a blank window comes up. The Program Files and Windows folders will appear, but you won't be able to enter in any of them, and they'll be duplicated in the address bar if you click on one of them.
