My mobile phone is the Sony Ericsson K610i http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/phones/k610i At the point in which the application attempts to communicate with the phone, the following is printed in the console: fixme:win:RegisterDeviceNotificationW (hwnd=0x13003c, filter=0x1388e93c,flags=0x00000000), returns a fake device notification handle! fixme:win:RegisterDeviceNotificationW (hwnd=0x13003c, filter=0x1388e93c,flags=0x00000000), returns a fake device notification handle! fixme:setupapi:CM_Locate_DevNodeW 0x1239e018 (null) 0x00000000: stub Each subsequent attempt prints a new "fixme:setupapi:CM_Locate_DevNodeW" line. There is no error message from the application, and it simply returns to the previous window. I realise USB support in Wine is in its infancy, so this could be a long one. Update Service does create its own logs, but it's not clear what format they are (not plain text). While using the SCTS program (downloadable from [1]) I have the following problem: When I minimize the window and then display it again, the position of some GUI elements has changed. This can be seen in the attached screenshots, it is reproducable every time. Under native Windows XP, the minimizing works. I just noticed that the window layout will also break when I switch from one KDE virtual desktop to another. Another issue that may or may not be related to this is that under Wine, I can resize the program window to any size I want. But under Windows XP, the SCTS program enforces a certain minimum size for its window. System: - 64 bit openSuse 11.1, window managers tested were KDE 3.5 and TWM. I am using WoW version 3.3.5 and my computer is running Ubuntu 11.04 64bit, thus PulseAudio as sound server. Steps to reproduce: 1. Switch to an unused tty console. 2. Run the following command: xinit -- :1 & ck-launch-session & (Which will create a new X Server and add sound to it) In my case, the new X Server is allocated at the tty8. 3. Start WoW. If the application starts without sound, it might work to change the Game Sound Output options around. 4. Switch back to your previous tty, e.g. tty7 5. Switch to the tty with WoW, e.g. tty8 You will notice sound has gone away. Expected results: Sound should be still playing, like if the switches were never performed. The only entry in Skype's Audio settings are "default" but nothing comes out or goes in. I should mention that during the program launch, it experiences one crash (crash report box) and one access violation (small access violation box). I'll try and find/create bugs for those cases as well. Apart from Skype not detecting any sound resources (and trying to display the default start screen in Firefox) it works more or less flawless, I'd say 90%, and if we can get this bug fixed, then it would be really damn close to 100% functionality. Yes, I know that there is a Linux client, but this is nothing short of a shame when it comes to features. Well, there are a LOT of messages that pops up in console when this application is launched, I'll give you a way to reproduce this bug instead of attaching a lot of useless logs. Of course if you need anything from me with regards to zero in on this bug I'm more than happy to accommodate. 1. Download from skype.com the windows client. 2. Start the installer, and when it is done with the downloading it freezes/halts. 3. Kill it/Exit it. 4. Find Skype.msi in .wine/drive_c/users/Public/Application\ Data/Skype/\{D6F879CC-59D6-4D4B-AE9B-D761E48D25ED\}/ and run it with "msiexec /i Skype.msi" 5. The colors ingame are messed up after opening the save or load game dialog boxes. The graphics almost look like a photo negative. I've attached an example screenshot to this bug report. In the console the game spams this after this has been triggered: fixme:d3d_surface:d3dfmt_p8_init_palette No palette set. This effect persists until the game is exited and reloaded, however calling up any other menu or dialog in game works perfectly fine and does not cause this bug. It is a regression, but due to another regression with this game, (which I have not yet filed because I'm still running it's regression test and which affects this bug) I have not yet performed a regression test for this bug. On Insert or Update to DB on eg. text it gets cut off at those chars. Seems that it needs an Wine UTF-8 fix? Among the files extracted are bmp files which are used in the installer wizard itself, including the very first page of the wizard. Under Wine, most of the bitmap files get extracted in corrupted form which results in none of the bitmaps showing up on the first page of the wizard and some not showing up on other pages of the wizard. Spiceworks uses an NSIS installer, the contents of which can be extracted using 7zip. I have compared the files extracted by Wine with those actually in the installer and they are of different size and binary content which clearly indicates corruption of data by Wine.
