The menu for the CD version of Half-Life stops being responsive after a certian amount of time. Running 'wineconsole cmd' and then 'start inetcpl.cpl' from within cmd gives: Application could not be started, or no application associated with the specified file. ShellExecuteEx failed: File not found start C:/Windows/system32/inetcpl.cpl gives: Application could not be started, or no application associated with the specified file. ShellExecuteEx failed: Success Both cases bring up the Internet Options control panel applet on Windows XP. This used to be a problem on Linux (Bug #21380), but the issue was resolved some time ago. While playing it gets pretty annoying. A temporary solution is to move the mouse pointer to the very right of the screen when starting. Has probably something to do with D2D. Running Wine 1.1.31 on Ubuntu Karmic X86_64.
