One can find many Direct2D examples on MSDN - unfortunately they are only provided in source, to be compiled with Platform/DirectX SDK/Visual Studio. When prompted to select programs, uncheck everything except Photo Galley (didn't test any others yet) and proceed. After a moment, it crashes.
