After an upgrade to OpenAL 1.19.0 (from Arch Official repositories), some Wine
games (Overwatch, allegedly GTA V) have quite horrific popping sounds that make
them unplayable.
Demonstration: https://streamable.com/mvy3c
I've created an issue in openal-soft Github and the maintainer requested a bug
report for Wine: https://github.com/kcat/openal-soft/issues/226

Wine staging master seems to not be affected, Wine Master is affected.
Setup windows of Final Fantasy XIV are stretched out to the point of becoming
unusable, as seen in the attachment below. Namely are, in order:
* the "Install DirectX" window of the latest benchmark(Bloodstorm), wine
staging master
* the "Install DirectX" window of the latest benchmark(Bloodstorm), wine master
* the Uninstaller, which is also the installer, wine master
https://imgur.com/a/9rwjE3M
The installer can be found here:
http://gdl.square-enix.com/ffxiv/inst/ffxivsetup.exe (I used the retail disc
but the result should be the same
The benchmark tool can be found here:

I am running Gentoo, the two wine versions I used are specifically
wine-staging-9999 and wine-9999, aka both latest dev trees

It seems Wine's d3d implmentation does not correctly support Intel Iris GPU,
e.g. from a MacBook Pro 13" Retina.
The game Fallout 3 crashes instantly with various different settings when
hitting the New button to start a new game, see also
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=32973.
Please find attached log files from the crash with various screen options and
screenshots.

Still wine-staging renders the game as black (bug 43981). Installing DXVK fixes
this. With wine-staging version 3.13, the game freezes when continuing a
mission. The game was working fine except audio is missing when DXVK is
installed with wine-staging 3.12. There is this error message when the game
freezes:

Summary: Steam hangs when launching any game with Wine-3.15.

After upgrading to Wine-3.15 I could not start any Steam Game.
When I press the play button, Steam does not show the "loading" window, instead
it runs one core at 100% with `perf top` showing "ntdll.dll.so
ENV_FindVariable" as most used function. After a few minutes Steam asserts and
exits.
The relevant part of the log looks like:
---

After bisecting I landed on the following commit:
---
commit 27edd4e35c1eb3827dfb20578733242d9ed3d460

shell32: Use Public instead of AllUsersProfile in the registry.
This matches what recent Windows versions set in the process environment.

Reverting it fixed the issue for me.
