When I run: $ wine64 .wine/drive_c/Program\ Files\ $x86$/Image-Line/FL\ Studio\ 20/FL64.exe ... I receive the following diagnostics which repeats the last line every 60 seconds, forever: 0009:fixme:explorerframe:taskbar_list_SetProgressState iface 0x37bc620, hwnd 0x20126, flags 2 stub! 003e:err:ntdll:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 0x1c6d470 "?" wait timed out in thread 003e, blocked by 0009, retrying (60 sec) 003e:err:ntdll:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 0x1c6d470 "?" wait timed out in thread 003e, blocked by 0009, retrying (60 sec) YET! When I run: $ wine64 [path-to-FL64.exe] 2>&1 | tee run.log ... the program runs as expected with no errors or hang. Weird, huh? Two facts to consider, unfortunately: 1) FL Studio 19 worked flawlessly under wine-staging-3.7, and I don't remember if FL Studio 19 or 20 worked under wine-staging-3.8, but one of them DIDN'T. If the main FL Studio window is maximized when you attempt to minimize it, it doesn't change size, but if it's not maximized the window is resized to a small square. The contents of the main window after attempting to minimize is an after image of what was rendered before minimizing, apart from a small section of the top left corner of the application (which is just a after image of the minimize button). If you change the size of the window in this state it shows a trailing/ghost effect (think IE6 effect) of whatever is behind the window, e.g. the desktop background. I set the severity to minor because it makes minimizing the window inconvenient, however there is a simple workaround: either use the keyboard shortcut for minimizing on the small label window, or click on the taskbar button/dock icon for FL Studio several times as necessary. FL Studio then properly minimizes. I've tested on elementary OS (Pantheon) and Fedora (GNOME 3) with Wine 3.4 and it happens on both. On Windows, when minimizing under normal usage you don't see this label, however if you rapidly minimize and restore FL Studio you can very briefly see it. With this in mind it might be that the label itself is normal behavior but it's supposed to immediately disappear or minimize. I attached the terminal log (with some notes). The window for it has the right dimensions and the effect itself still works. I can even load up project files from a windows machine that were preconfigured and they will work just fine I just don't have a UI for it (see attachment). I also ran fl in the terminal and this was the suspect line that popped up in the terminal when I loaded OTT: 002a:fixme:vulkan:X11DRV_vkCreateWin32SurfaceKHR Application requires child window rendering, which is not implemented yet! Short paths and/or filenames never fail that I can see (for example try both left or right clicking on "Rock moog_s" directly above the test link/file. The problem is connecting an ALESIS PHOTON 25 ( midi controller by USB port ) no message is showed, but FL studio seems to not receiving midi signal, and is impossible to link the knobs and buttons, with this program interface.
