There is reports of application working well in 1.1.5, but don't working in 1.1.8, then, I think this is a severe regression. Installation is fine, but when I try to execute, the following message is displayed: fixme:heap:HeapSetInformation 0x110000 1 (nil) 0 No Window is displayed. Polish language version of PowerPoint Viewer 2007 (downloaded from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=pl&FamilyID=048…, size 27099144, MD5 sum 0f2cc7908333ecc2e53025ba4e86eed1) doesn't run on Wine 0.9.59 (installed from Wine repository) on Ubuntu Gutsy. Installation completes successfully but all I get after trying to run the app is: $ wine Program\ Files/Microsoft\ Office/Office12/PPTVIEW.EXE fixme:heap:HeapSetInformation 0x110000 1 (nil) 0 $ Btw, English language version (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=048…, size 27024112, MD5 sum 9b4b476488674ae103d2e97cd88cd222) works fine. Install PowerPoint Viewer 2007 (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=048dc840-14e1-467d…) into empty wine prefix. 2. Install DCOM98 using winetricks: > winetricks dcom98 3. Start PowerPoint Viewer 2007: > wine 'C:\Program files\Microsoft Office\Office12\PPTVIEW.EXE' 4. Move cursor over PowerPoint Viewer's file choose dialog or any other window.
