Here is the result of a log file : "Speaker Configuration: Stereo (Left and right speakers) (IndirectSound can't change your audio device's speaker configuration; if you want to change it you must configure the playback device in Windows)" I'm guessing Wine should be changing Windows setting when changing it to surround 5.1. When you move now one of them to the left window, the program crash. The project you have created you can use in all tests. You have only double click on "New page". I've reproduced it with three different games, so I thinks it severity major even crash is just steam itself, sorry if it's wrong. Some application can launch steam themselves if it is closed and sometimes this allows these application to run (if the application has time to be run before crash). But some application can't launch steam themselves and, even if they has time to be runned before steam crash, they stop with errors like "steam has to be running". Bad commit can't be reverted by git, but checkout previous commit can confirm that is the first bad commit. I've exercised it quite extensively today and the "only" thing which fails to work is file saving. I don't believe it is a deliberate limitation, since I've double checked and the full product seems to have been made available for free use without restriction. Invoke the File/save menu item and attempt to save somewhere. Result: The UI gives no error indication, but no file is created. Nothing else is shown. After making a dirty hack in commctrl.c (replaced pTaskConfig->pszMainInstruction with pTaskConfig->pszContent) I can see the messagebox saying that I should have DX10/11 compatible hardware and DX11 runtime: http://i.imgur.com/OxHDoKI.png The log is attached. The game should be able to run on DirectX 10 as said on the Steam store page: http://store.steampowered.com/app/8870/ (OS: Windows Vista Service Pack 2 32-bit, Video Card: DirectX10 Compatible). DX10 seems to be supported by Wine quite well since the newest Mortal Kombat runs fine without any additional efforts and it can't be run on DX9.0c at all. Tried to disable DX11 libs including d3d11 itself, not much changes except the lines about fixme:d3d11:D3D11CreateDevice disappear. Similar bugs can be observed with PNG but different colors are switched (blue becomes yellow). - Under NVIDIA Proprietary driver 460.39, CUDA 11.2 with a GTX 650 Ti everything is fine. Please note that those bugs do only occur with JPG and PNG formats. GIF format works fine. But didn't play a test with message as on screenshot. The problem seems to be limited to the multilib 32+64bit wine, as pure 32bit or 32bit only multilib wine don't have this problem. Also some people on arch forums reported that if the WINEPREFIX was created by a 32bit wine it would work even if the prefix was upgraded to a 64bit one.
