Menu Items docs guides tools and layout work on first click and then flash there after. This is a regression which only appears in 7.0rc5-staging. devel doesn't have this bug. Please see the video for demonstration. N.b. this is not the same as bug 51984 which was resolved. Help is much appreciated! Below is the installation guide. The app is a bit like kindle in so much as the engine is free but the resources cost so there is a free download. Unlike kindle it has many advanced research features and books link together etc. The main app is free but there are paid features, resources and subscriptions. To use the app you need a free account https://www.logos.com/product/194909/logos-9-basic. It uses a downloader app which last I tried doesn't work with wine. The actual msi link is https://downloads.logoscdn.com/LBS9/Installer/9.6.0.0024/Logos-x64.msi Manual Install Procedure: 1 Install wine 6 or newer 2 winetricks corefonts 3 winetricks settings fontsmooth=rgb 4 winetricks dotnet48 5 winetricks settings renderer=gdi (you might need to set the reg key manually) 6 Install the Logos.msi download but don't run it. 7 wine64 reg add "HKCU\\Software\\Wine\\AppDefaults\\LogosIndexer.exe" /v Version /t REG_SZ /d vista /f 8 Run Logos and sign in with your free account. This is not possible under Wine. The second keypress overrides the first one. e.g. I want to scroll into the upper left corner. I press left, it scrolls left. I keep left pressed and press up -> It only scolls upwards. Modifier keys like Ctrl are handled properly. I don't think the game is based on dinput. Logos stores all resources, eg. ebooks, videos etc in a subdir like drive_c/users/$username/Local Settings/Application Data/Logos/Data/$uniqueid/ResourceManager/ When an update to Logos Bible Software becomes available there is a notification in the app. The update will usually install ok however on wine the Resources are all wiped. The user is now stuck with a massive download eg. 40gb+. On Windows the resources are always still there after an update. It's as if the msi somehow overwrites the directory rather than merging with it? I've attached a console log updating from 8.15.0.0004 to 8.16.0.0002 - in this case the update also did not relaunch the newly updated app but simply kept running. At this point I checked and confirmed all resources were wiped. I attached my console output. You can reproduce the bug just by downloading the file and trying to install. I kept my terminal open for more than 3 hours beacuse the process is "running" and if I close the terminal it says that a process is still running and closing the terminal will kill it. If I was running GNOME 3.12 everything was fine with OFFICE 2010. Now I've upgraded to GNOME 3.14.0 with: i | gnome-shell | Paket | 3.14.0-308.1 | x86_64 | GNOME i | xorg-x11 | Paket | 7.6_1-16.1 | noarch | repo-oss with Vendor NVIDIA Driver NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-340.46 sidenote: this issue is not related to playonlinux only. It also appears in crossover. So the question is, if it is a wine or gnome problem? I can reproduce this on T500 Lenovo with Intel Chipset and on Desktop Computer with NVIDIA GraphicsCard. So it seems not to be a display driver problem. ## actual behaviour If I want to see a submenu in any Office 2010 application with either "right click" or from "ribbon menu" they do not appear in any case. But if you call a menu with richt click and imagine it was there and use the keyboard to select an item from that invisible menu -the actions itself are working. If I switch to another desktop environment the menus do appear.
